Very interesting Stoll interview. He said, "Brown is our captain and he is a really great captain"..... is there a rift in that locker room? I may be grabbing at strawls here but an odd statement when it had little to do with what was asked. - coffee junkie
Its been reported that Richards fractured that lockerroom. Apparently, there are Brown's guys and Richards guys, so when they acquired Carter, many took it as a sign they wanted to move out Brown. In other words, Richards is a POS. |

We don't really know that though. Yes, I have heard the rumors too. The Stoll interview IMHO give some fuel to the fire. That said, Richards is no POS IMHO.
With regard to Nash- unless Bryz is going the other way I want NOTHING to do with that contract and asset suicide. I hope NYR give up more because I agree that isn't going to screw them as much as we need it too. |

Well said. It is tempting to think of Nash on this team, but that contract is an albatross for any competitive team that spends to the cap. |

besides a pk guy, the only other major trade I see for the flyers would be a young dman we could move forward with...of course I'd be open to jiggy, but that would involve a whole series of moves w/ bob, so I'm not sure if that's likely. |

Glenn Healy just referred to Richards and Carter as Dean Martin and the brat pack |

Hatty for trade bait Dustin Brown. Not a good sign. That's what forced CBJ to trade Carter.

JVR and 1st for Brown - jesustouchedme
I'm assuming this is sarcastic. I wouldn't do JVR for Brown straight up, let alone with a 1st thrown in. Despite the hatty tonight, I think Brown is a tad overrated. |

agreed. he is more consistent in his effort but the talent gap is too great for me and JVR is still improving. |

Wow. Kings are lighting it up now. Apparently Carter is the Messiah (although he has no points himself tonight). His mere presence is enough. |

I don't watch much of the Kings, but I don't understand why they don't score more goals given some of the talent they have. I could see them bringing everything together just in the nick of time and being dangerous moving forward, especially if they can keep their GAA down where it is. |

How does anyone even expect the Flyers to fit Nash under the cap?
JVR 1.6
You would have to trade Mezzy or Coburn + Voracek |

They have a few players drop off the planet this year- Penner and Richards to name a few. Gagne's injury has hurt. They really miss Smyth. Jack johnson was actually producing a lot of offense and I was surprised they moved him, but you have to give to get I guess. Consistent effort has also been an issue with this team this year, but also a lot of goal posts and just bad luck. I live in CA so I follow them (my West Coast team). |

Signing Nash would just about mean we have to gut the team. Even if we were willing to give up the pieces CBJ wants to acquire Nash, his salary would cripple the team for years. |

just red we are still in on nash, i like nash..his cap hit is atrocious, the only way i see this is if we can get danny b to waive his nmc to go to a top 2 team in the league, i.e rangers or detroit is prolly the only place he would go.
also, if we buy dannt b out, it would cost us 1 mil for 3 more seasons |

We would have to make CBJ take back a major salary in the trade...whos that? I have no idea. Maye a lil 3 way trade action. |
