I may have to grow mine back out. Not for the girls (happily hitched here), just because I like to roll with a little freak flag. It was halfway down my back in June and the heat kinda got to me. If I start now the annoying not long enough to pull back phase won't hit until fall/winter and then I can just tuck it under my Flyers cap.

Just back from the game and wooooooooooo! Great job everyone except Bryz, absolutely brutal once again. I can't fault him on that knuckle ball he let in but everything else was stoppable.

Oh well, just like the jets game the flyers did what they had to do to come home with two points.

Thought - now that Calgary is basically out of the mix (they have a shot but still a challenge), I wonder what it would take to get Kipper from them?

There was a slashing motion but it didn't look like he connected. I'll have to see it again. Even the announcers were like "thats kind of a slash, i guess" or something to that effect.

yea i thought so i thought the rule is to prevent a scoring opportunity i thought he got a decent one off a slashing call would have been just fine

kippersouf is the only reason the flames are in a playoff hunt... i watched there last 10 games or so...most goals are rebounds and deflection or screens if he sees it he stop it with the occasionally great save... i wouldnt trade for him no point.... i would have done it in the offseason so bob could develop

Happened back on 2/2. The theory was that the Phantoms needed scoring since so many of their forwards were called up, and they were willing to part with Marshall because of the log jam on defense. They wanted more time for some younger kids that they felt had higher upside than Marhsall. Carrying Walker and Bartulis leaves them only 4 spots for developing players. When MAB and Gus are also there, it leaves only two. Most of the articles I saw on it seemed to think it was a good deal for both sides.

Agreed. Kipper is a solid goalie. Not sure why anyone would say otherwise. Guy has put together a nice career, and he's damn sure playing better than either Flyers goalie at the moment.

Still not sure I'd trade for him (assuming he's even available), since he's 35 and his cap hit is higher than Bryz's.

very true, they'd want a lot for him. goalies can survive at an older age though. He's playing 70 plus games a year, if he had a decent back to lower his games to 60....he'd last a long time.

the only attractive side to it is that his salary is only 1.5 the year after. And if they vote in that ability to get out of one legacy contract in the CBA next year. HAving kipper for a couple years while breaking in a new goalie is a great value (hence eI hope the trade never happens, but cgy needs a centre now and for the future)

Yea true but they haven't played a complete 60mins in weeks. I am starting to get worried. Also if they are building for the future I kinda think they should become sellers in a way. I know that won't happen tho

They won despite Bryz, and then Bryz joined the rest of the team in stepping up his game at the end and for the shootout. It's a very strange dynamic. Clearly there's a disconnect with the players and Bryz, you can tell by their expressions when he lets in a goal. And then when Bryz steps up in the shootout, stopping the first 2, they can't get a goal for him. At some point everyone is going to be on the same page and sing koom bay ya.........
