Toronto puts Rosehill on waivers, Devils do the same with Boulton.

Every team in the NHL realizing goons aren't worth a wooden nickle.

I'm just waiting on pins and needles for Homer to announce an extension on Shelleys contract with a slight raise...

add a guy like anisimov and that would be closer, but dreger tweeted that mcdonagh or del zotto are not likely available.
- isaiah520

If Howson doesn't get a big return, he should simply hold on to Nash. It's not like Nash is a UFA at season's end.

Hey remember that team we already cant beat?

Nash to NYR deal has advanced. CBJ gets 1 of Del Zotto or McDonagh, a 1st, & prospect (Tim Erixon). NYR feels offer bests Leafs.

- hereticpride

wow we couldn't offer carle and jvr?

Mind boggling that he is still on the roster. An absolute waste of resources.

agreed. LA was desperate but NYR are not. I think CLB will be better positioned to have a bidding war over the summer.

I dont get it.

Why do the Rags want to invest that kind of money in their forwards? They are gonna have no cash for the defense.

Nash, Gaborik and Richards = 22 mil

- ggunky

no need to invest when you have lundqvist

He can just be sent down I believe. If we wave him, we would be due for half his salary. Not much, but enough to be annoying.

You would think so. Nash doesn't seem miserable in Columbus, I still think with some solid moves the Jackets can build around him. Selling him for pennies on the dollar does nothing to help them.

hey! Shelley won that fight in EDM! don't you understand how crucial he is in "the room"?

I will now return to my perch and I will refuse to further engage with the hoi polloi!

I think we're only due for half the salary if he's claimed on recall waivers. If the Flyers send Shelley down for whatever reason, I sincerely doubt they'd recall him.

rapping up 7.8 in Nash with all of the young plyrs they will have to pay is not a cause for concern for me...I'd actually enjoy watching sather dismantle a potential long stretch of cup contention.

Rags freed up 3.8 million in cap space by trading a guy that has played 9 games this year. WTF is Talon thinking?

This is the precursor to them making a splash. Not counting the total domination against the Flyers the Rangers have lost 5 straight division games.

I don't think he has to be waived. I think he has a two way contract. Doesn't he?

if they traded for Nash, they would have almost 33MM wrapped up in 5 players and I think he has to pay at least one prime rfa...

He'd definitely have to be waived to be sent down. It's based on age/seasons played, a two way contract would only affect the salary he'd receive in the A.

The question is, do you pay $7mm for Suter or $5mm or so for Carle? IMO, Suter's not worth $2mm more than Carle.
- Jsaquella

Not sure about the dollars but Suter is a much better dman than Carle at both ends of the rink. I think that is a nobrainer for anyone who watches both players. Would spend the money of Suter and let Carle sign for less or leave.
