He'll play with the Canucks until the end of the season.
And you know what? I wouldn't be surprised if he sees a couple of shifts with the Sedins to see if he could bring grit to that line. - Pecafan Fan
Burrows does a good job with the Twins.
Not sure Vigneault will like his undiscinipline coming playoffs time. |

He'll love his size and toughness. He is exactly what the Sedins need.

I think he really meant what was written.
You know, as in righting the ship, not as 'Writing'.
The rest was a lame attempt at joking. |

Do you think Kassian would have stood there with his thumb up his ass while Marchand used one of the sisters as a speed bag? He would have smacked that (frank)ing beak right off his rat like face. |

I'm not too sure about Fortier who needs to be resigned, but he deserves another contract IMO as he's really good on the PK and has been good when healthy for the Dogs. If he's resigned, we'll see him with the habs next year for a few games.
As for Dumont, he'll play in the NHL one day, and MacMillan has ways to go before either calling him a bust or an NHLer, but so far so good. |

When the Twins get shutdown and that Kesler is on an off night, who's gonna score?
They had Hodgson who would score the odd goal, and who added punch to their 2nd PP wave.
Right now, they're not a better team with Kassian than with Hodson.
And when Kassian will be ready, chances are the window will be closed for the canucks. - QuebecPride
Or does Kassian give Vancouver a chance to have a powerforward who can score on the twins line to add grit and some toughness? Hodgson, how is his back? |

If the Bruins proved anything last year its that it takes all kinds to win the Cup. As I've said, Canucks are loaded on skilled guys, they needed some toughness and they got it. Not too mention Kassian has legit offensive upside. - Cape Breton Bruins
What did the Wings prove then? Skill is for rtards! DERP! Maybe the Pens MALKIN AND CROSBY SUCK DERP. |

Crosby and Malkin are twice as tough as the Sedins. |

both of those teams have jam. The Pens especially. And Detroit has been seeking it since they haven't won in 5 years. |

They have enough scoring. - hscesq
They have more than enough scoring.
Thing is Hodgson's worth way more than Kassian, and they lost value in that deal, for a player that will most likely not help them much in the playoffs, compared to what Hodgson would've done or could've.
In the long run, Kassian will be more useful for the 'nucks. But right now I'd rather take the 20 goal scorer than the AHLer. |

Good, then a certain 3rd line center providing large amounts of depth scoring would be much needed when they are shutdown, right? |

honestly....skill and toughness aren't mutually exclusive....it just so happens that the guys on the Canucks don't have both for the most part. |

Exactly, i didnt see Burrows doing poop about it. Thing is the Twins can score with anybody, Kassian may get them more room and park himself in front of the net, a la Byfuglien. |

If you are hoping for Hodgson to carry the water if the two previous scoring champs get shut down you're in trouble anyway. |

You can be tough and not fight.
How often do you see Pronger (tees and pees) dropping the gloves?
What about Jovocop or Brewer?
Franzen, Bertuzzi anyone? |

Losing O'Brien hurt them on that part.
But I think Bieksa has a good mix of the 2. |

This was pretty much the point, and they overpaid, but if Kassian becomes the next Bertuzzi ( a stretch no doubt) then they come way out on top in this deal. |

Unless they are facing an extremely hot Halak, its rare that they get shutdown. |

But as of now, in value and in contribution, they lose the trade. Can you understand that? They could've done the deal in the summer and it would've been better IMO.
They need a guy like Kassian, when developed. Otherwise they'd rather have that extra depth IMO. |

Bert almost killed a dude. Pronger is nutbars and hasnt really been challenged much in years, and for a good (frank)ing reason. Jovo hasnt fought much as he did in his early years, but he doesnt have to either and is more important on the ice for his team. |

Kassian will be fine playing with the Sedins, and they can put Burrows with Kesler and Booth... |
