But as of now, in value and in contribution, they lose the trade. Can you understand that? They could've done the deal in the summer and it would've been better IMO.

They need a guy like Kassian, when developed. Otherwise they'd rather have that extra depth IMO.

They lose it in skill which they have tons of, and gain possibly a good powerforward that can score and compliment the twins, hopefully. You dont get something for nothing, and they needed grit, size and toughess in their team. They had skill to burn, so they did, in order to get that potential powerforward they needed. Both teams got what they needed. No one is arguing that Hodgson is not the better offensively gifted player, only their need for a player like Kassian was much greater then their need for offense from Hodgson, get it now? No, i didnt think you would.

Bert almost killed a dude. Pronger is nutbars and hasnt really been challenged much in years, and for a good (frank)ing reason. Jovo hasnt fought much as he did in his early years, but he doesnt have to either and is more important on the ice for his team.
