yes, they are "boys" as i was told. Watch the fight closely, they throw a lot of punches but the punches even look weird and nobody ever connected.
More to it than that, but the Sabres truly believe it was fake. Tells a lot about the kid...if true. - Homer
If I remember correctly, they were "punching" with forearems and it did look a little wierd. |

Only reason I don't give a full A is for what he didn't do. I would have moved Leopold and probably could have got at least a 2nd for the price Dmen were going for.
But other than that, well done. - Homer
I'm more upset we didn't trade Boyes
We have Leo and Sekera under contract still
But even if it was just for the 4th we gave up with goose...
It's ridiculous IMO to keep a guy like bites who has been a monumental disappointment that we will def not re-sign in the offseason
Ugh, as terrible a non-move as not getting a good pick for Monty last year
I hate not getting anything for guys we have no intention of trying to re-sign |

I'm his biggest critic, he gets an A. It was a slick move. I, like you, were not too high on Kassian becoming the next coming of Lucic. - Gunner Staal
agreed
you get a #1 or #2 center who is young and tremendous upside
you move a slow fringe 3rd line center who wants a long term deal for a first round pick
that and tropp showed as much physical game as kassian |

I hate you guys. (frank)ing hate every one of you.
But anyway,
Gragnani, left or right shot?
Left or right side D?
Kassian, in the AHL because coach/management is stupid?
Or because he won a grand prize of 50 Richards to suck and started down there? - DTF69
Shoots left....can be good, can also look lost out there.
Kassian wouldn't listen to the coaches, has an attitude and just doesn't have the desire to be what he can be. Has skill and is suppose to be tough....that's yet to be seen but maybe in time. |

If he gets to the finals he will get more than $3 million per year; I and all Sabres fans are rooting that Nashville exits in the first round playing Detroit, Vancouver or San Jose.
I would prefer if they finished in 7th or 8th in their conference.....thereby giving Buffalo a much nicer 1st round pick...likely in the top 20. - RicoMartin
Nashville finishes no lower than 5th with the additions they made.
I dont see anyone below them catching them down these final 20. They will probably end up playing STL in the first round. |

Serious question. |

Sabres gonna make a move at the draft to get the #1 pick?
They have a lot of picks, and Roy to give out! - Saberia
They can try to trade up using assets like Roy, Adam, Brennan, Stafford, Sekera....and if these do not give you the top pick they can trade down by taking offers for their picks. |

Agree. Nitpicking here, but waiving or somehow dumping Boyes would have made it an A+ and trading Stafford somehow, well, I couldn't even give that a grade... - PassionBucket16
i dont think they are ready to Give up on Stafford.....yes he has a had an awful season, and yes he regressed fomr last year, and he does seem distracted...but he did show the Sabre what he is capable of last year....maybe if they jettison Roy in the off season and what ever personal issues he is having are laid to rest Staff will rebound......or maybe he will packaged up to free space or bring in a big fish...either way its win win......... |

Yeah Leopold is an automatic for a 2nd round pick. It's just not the same when Moore and Leopold aren't moved for 2nd round picks during the same deadline. - Gunner Staal
Regardless of the fact that all the A's have gone to the "core", I really think they look to Leopold as one of their leaders. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not, but I think, especially with Gaustad gone, they didn't want to lose all their veteran leadership. |

He has bought another year or two with me. Look what he has done in this first year with new ownership. If you can somehow erase everything from the past and just look at what he has done with TP he is a top GM. Yes I know he over paid for Leino but I think everything else helps me forget that. |

I'd definitely agree he did well today. Hodgson surprised me, although Vancouver has more time to be tolerant towards players with "potential." I've wanted him out for a while but I might let him stick out the summer. |

I can honestly say that having Pegula there, helped Darcy grow a pair and make these deals!
Pegula didn't become a billionaire sitting on the side.
This is what Pegula brings to the Buffalo fans....... |

Because Martin was in tight. That is how you hit someone on the side of the head that has their face lowered toward your chest.
I just don't see it as a staged goon-off |

Would you trade our 2 first picks for say the first or second overal pick who ever has it. Or a combination of roy and a frist or seconds. Our would you rather try to trade them for a top player say like Nash. - gibby111
Lots of options going into the off season.
how about this one....IF Hodgson goes crazy as the team's second line center and scores 10 goals and 10 to 20 assists in the last 20 games and the Sabres make the playoffs, he might win the Rookie of the Year award and that would be a first for a player to have played on 2 teams to win that type of award. I know that is a stretch, but this guy is already in top 10 scoring rookies, so anything is possible.
I like a line of Ennis, Hodgson and Pomminville for the balance of the season....Ennis and Hodgson have had chemistry before and Pominville is playing at the top his game this year.
Ruff should be able to roll 3 scoring lines. |

If its worth anything at all, you have all already seen the "worst of Ville Leino".
I promise he's worth a lot more of that money he's making then he's shown thus far. |
