I think Ennis is going to move to the wing to play with Hodgson and Stafford. That means you have to call up Adam to play 3rd line Center between Gerbe and Leino.
Ennis has been playing well at center. I wonder if he stays there, Hodgson goes between Vanek and Pominville, Roy moves to the wing, with Stafford, and they throw Leino between Kaleta and Gerbe. Boyes is back, which gives them options too.

Someone's going to have to move off the center position if Hodgson's going to go top 6, unless they plan on putting him at wing. You're not taking Roy or Ennis of the top 6, I don't think, either. Leino, I can see, though.

Unless he picks it up for the balance of the season and ends up with at least 12 goals for the season....his career in NA is finished unless Buffalo brings him back as a 4th line player center/winger and shootout and 2nd team PP specialist; Hecht the same way; 4th line winger/center PK specialist....not more tha $1 million each.....they owe big time for the nice contracts they have been paid the last 2 years....and no one will give these guys more than a $1 million each next year...buys us time to groom Catennaci, Foligno and Adam.
If they can keep their careers going elsewhere....good luck to them.
My 4th line next year Hecht on the LW, Adam at Center, Boyes on the RW.
With Ellis interchanging with these guys. - RicoMartin
I think Hecht is done or else he plays in Germany. He has a home there and intends to go back.
My guy at TSN says this guy may be a hiddne gem for the 3rd or 4th line center position....the next Gaustad.....anybody want to take a shot at that? I thought he plays wing.
Also, Riley Boychuk might bring toughness that Kassian has yet to show this year. - RicoMartin
Yep,
He's fast & is always moving
Reminds me of gerbe a little that way
Not very big though
And doesn't seem to be much of a scorer
I guess it's not like they have another use for the $4 right now anyway, might as well spend it on moot play from an NHL caliber guy over shotty play from a prospect. And if Pegula wants to spend, by all means... - BuffaJoe
I don't know how kotalik has looked this year...
But if we traded Boyes for a pick & brought him up...
I doubt he could be any worse
Kass still has a ton of potential and size and is really just starting to be molded into an NHLer. I think getting out from the Sabres org. will do him some good. - nfph
It was quite obvious in the World Juniors last year that Kassian had a lot of work to do on is game on before he is a legit NHLer. Skating was lacking and his ability to read the play wasn't on par with the rest of the guys on the team.
The one thing I don't think most of us thought, me included is that he would lose his aggressive nature and became very passive when called up. Not sure what happened, maybe he's lazy or maybe scared to make a mistake but I hope he finds his game or he could be moved out of Vancouver quickly.
Ave u seen him play this year?
Like I said though... Couldn't be much worse than Boyes - jdfitz77
i HAve not.
are we to believe he went back to the motherland, found the hockey equivalent of the fountain of youth, reversed all aging and would compete with Ennis in a blueline to blueline dash?
