I would give him 3-4 years at 1.75M per tops.
- JVince117

he'll get more than that, dollar wise. I bet closer to 3M than 1.75M

love the hodgson trade...and I think he will be much better than kassian will ever be. also getting a #1 for goose is huge, and i hope we can resign him in the offseason.

my only concern is this team is getting smaller in the top 6, i would love to see a move for a bigger center by moving roy this offseason.

- adubs14

could we get a big center for the other top 6 line to compliment CD by moving a combination of Roy, 1st, Staff, Pysyk or JGL? Not sure there is another #2 center that is big and available.. if we had another #2 to go with CD and Ennis that wouldn't be a bad line up, but we need to get bigger in the middle.. right now we don't have a center over 190 lbs

CAPGEEK.COM CAP CALCULATOR

FORWARDS
Thomas Vanek ($7.142m) / Tyler Ennis ($2.000m) / Jason Pominville ($5.300m)
Ville Leino ($4.500m) / Luke Adam ($0.875m) / Drew Stafford ($4.000m)
Nathan Gerbe ($1.433m) / Cody Hodgson ($1.666m) / Patrick Kaleta ($1.250m)
Marcus Foligno ($0.900m) / Cody McCormick ($1.200m) / Corey Tropp ($0.700m)
/ / Matt Ellis ($0.525m)

DEFENSEMEN
Tyler Myers ($5.500m) / Robyn Regehr ($4.020m)
Christian Ehrhoff ($4.000m) / Jordan Leopold ($3.000m)
Andrej Sekera ($2.750m) / Mike Weber ($0.950m)
Brayden McNabb ($0.900m)

GOALTENDERS
Ryan Miller ($6.250m) / Jhonas Enroth ($0.675m)

CAPGEEK.COM TOTALS (follow @capgeek on Twitter)
(these totals are compiled without the bonus cushion)
SALARY CAP: $64,300,000; CAP PAYROLL: $59,538,356; BONUSES: $1,332,500
CAP SPACE (22-man roster): $4,761,644

That's just a projected lineup I see for next year. Unfortunately, there is no spot for Luke Adam on this team and hopefully he understands that and works hard in the offseason.

We have 4 of the top 60 picks, 5 million in cap space if the cap stays the same, and flexibility in our forwards, D, and prospects to make some moves.

So what Wingers are gonna be UFA/RFAs this summer that we need to add to get back that grit and toughness that we lost?

I would assume, or we keep him and move Ennis back to winger. Anyway we have a lot of forwards and need to make trades.

i think what we saw yesterday could be a jumpstart of out with the old, in with the new. i really liked the regier comment of a new core of hodgson, myers, ennis. i will guarantee roy will not be on this team after june 22. they have the picks and assets to bring in a current #1 center or they will be able to draft galchenyuk. who knows maybe we can get lucky with a potential lottery pick????

Trade Ennis, he's not worth 3 mill if he gets that.
