Hodgson is not very good at faceoffs it seems.

that I do not like.

I watched the NHL Channel all last night and (I know, I know) and guys like Button, Crawford, etc. were gushing about the kid. They said he was very good on draws. I'm going to check the stat's now...

Trade Ennis, he's not worth 3 mill if he gets that.
- SABRES 89

i agree that hes not worth 3m, i hate when we pay for potential. Id love to keep him, my favorite sabre as of late. I can see him getting somewhere in the range of 1.6-2.3

Faceoffs for Hodgson.

42.8% on 414 draws.

Kid is 22. He's got plenty of time to learn.

Still too much for him. He was overpaid at his current salary.
- jochfr

its only a slight increase from his 2.5M cap hit currently....and i dont have any issue with that, as he is one of the best penalty killers in the league and is amazing at faceoffs.

not to mention his type of personality is exactly what this team is missing, and i think people will miss him over the rest of the season way more than anyone realizes right now

great job by Darcy. I am as cynical as a Sabres fan can be and I am very impressed. A 1st for the goose......thats a giant score in my book. A 22 YO centre with 16 goals on the third line.....also a score.

RFA and a 10% min offer puts him at .96m .I think it will be a bit more if he keeps playing well .

that or he will spend offseasons in buffalo, but i think there is a good chance he is back. hopefully.
- LizzyJo

Not if he wants 3M... go get someone like Konopka who can do his job.... With Goose gone... Kaleta, McComick, Weber and McNabb are all going to have to step up and be more gritty for this team...

i hope he helps nashville go deep into the playoffs

I dont really think anybody wants Myers off the team... It was more of a trade scenario to get the center... But all it took was Kassian

Myers and Ehrhoff are our future 1-2 punch on the Blue line for the next 7 years....This my friend... Is a good thing...

The "real question" is........ How long will it take for Lindy to ruin Cody Hodgsons offensive creativity and get him solidly into the "system"......... I say 3 games and the new Cody will be stripped of his offensive abilities,.........

he's a bottom-pairing defensive center who's slated for unrestricted free agency this summer...

i like what he brings, but keeping him, especially with the sabres slim playoff hopes, would have represented a missed opportunity

i would be perfectly content with that, we are freeing up a lot of cap space in the off season anyway

I think Darcy did a great job but the reality is.... Lindy just does not know how to coach players with offensive ability..................

konopka? konopka can replace what goose brings to the table? i dont think so. all konopka can do is fight. thats not even goose's strong point.

i dont think people realize how much he brings to the table or how much this team is going to miss him for the rest of the year
