Just cause kessel and lupul are having a flash in the pan year... doesnt mean they are elite. I think thats what everyone here is trying to tell you. To consider a player elite that means they have to break the 80 point mark once in their careers... kessel and lupul are at 60ish each (give or take a few) but both are fizzling out. I would say elite players are in the top 5 in NHL stats year in and out... not just based off one year

Just because Kessel and Lupul are in the top 10 in points doesn't mean they are elite. Kessel is a great player but nothing special about him...Lupul is not elite he is just having a very good year.
