I knew a guy who played pro football. He broke his neck in the first half and didn't have symptoms til half time when his arms started tingling. they put him on a back board and woosh. No more pro football. - bodiva88
I need to take a look at that hit too. Perfect example of a nicely timed, solid open ice hit. It is borderline legal, I guess, if you go by the standard the league created after the uproar over the Richards hit on Booth. Not as seemingly clear-cut as Vlasic on Briere. If Rinaldo had made the same hit on a Shark, as Vlasic did on Briere, Shanny would have called Laviolette on the bench and said: "Hi Peter, Brendan here, could you hand your phone over to Mr. Rinaldo when his shift is finished?"
In an effort to get Danny B going and possibly spark the offense which was blanked two out of the last 4 games, what do you guys think about this line up:

In all seriousness, what do they need to do tomorrow to win? The NYI are very beatable, how do we expose them since they have played great against us all year?

Simmonds-Giroux-Jagr
Hartnell-Briere-Talbot
Voracek – Schenn- JVR

I liked what was trying to be done last night by having Giroux playing with JvR and Voracek, while Briere centered Hartnell and Jagr. Throw the Hartnell, Giroux and Jagr line out the window. That idea is done. Create a solid checking and should be solid defensively and hard on the other team's top line.
Talbot-Schenn-Simmonds
These guys might not be the most talented 3 but they certainly are pros and the most hard working. I happen to think Talbot is a better Winger then a Center.

interesting combos. i like that hartnell-briere are together, and i like not wasting talbot on the 4th line. think he's capable of more. don't really love the 3rd line. not sure they're complimentary and it's a very young like - wouild like an older guy there, but there's not much available. only have 4 of 12 forwards from last year. would really love lappy and betts to be healthy. faceoff, shot blocking defensive bastards. they need that badly.

I thought Jake and Talbot had some good chemistry going earlier this year. Throw Schenn in the middle
