Just going by what Lavi has said on radio. He said they make adjustments. - stveshdy
sure, but it doesn't mean the entire system is going to change. |

List of PHX defensemen who have played at least 15 games and have logged more PK time than Yandle:
Rusty Klesla
Derek Morris
David Schlemko
Adrian Aucoin
Mike Rozsival
Chris Summers (?!?)
Oliver Ekman-Larsson
then Yandle. - bradleyc4
So bc he doesnt play PK minutes he is a liability? Maybe bc he logs a ton of minutes (1st by all defenseman) and plays the QB on the PP also. |

I wouldn't say it means he's a liability so much as he's not leaned on as heavily as other defensemen for defensive roles. |

well, that is the position he plays, but you're missing the point. also, do you watch a ton of 'yotes games or something? or is this just perception? |

I actually watch games. There is no point thats missing. To say he doesnt play defense or play against other teams top players is not the case. Yandle is a very good defenseman. |

Seems to be a common thread throughout today's stories. - rockychocbill
Datsun 510 4-door, manual, pale yellow, black interior. It had been dad's commute to the train station car.
I drove it until I moved into the city. Sold it back to dad (I didn't buy it from him) for first/last/deposit. I think $650. He gave it to little bro who drove it until he couldn't keep it running. He sold it to a mechanic friend for $50. That guy kept him going another 2 years. Then the rust just wasn't escapable any more. Car's name was Demon. But he was a generally dependable little dude. |

Well, I didn't say that, but then again I also don't watch much of the 'yotes. The stats do paint a picture of a very offensive d-man, though. |

Bc he has good offensive numbers he cant be good defensively?

Yes, I remember you mentioning demon a few weeks ago when we last had this discussion. The 510 was my 3rd and 4th cars. 4 door and then a 2 door I completely modded. Loved that little orange putter. |

My original point was that Yandle is not counted on to play the tough defensive minutes that Carle is.
You see it differently though, so the people who chart shifts must be doing a poor job because what I see is that he's not counted on to play against the opposition's top forwards. |

yo RCB,
what is your take on the Hodgson trade?
Canucks got rid of the best player in the deal, imo.
Kassian is a goon, maybe goon with some ability, but Hodgson could be a star. |

Yup. Carle is better bc he plays on the PK and he is a Flyer. No surprise. Yandle is terrible. |

kassian's no goon. he's probably somewhere between ben eager and lucic/ott/hartnell. obviously the nucks are hoping closer to the latter. |

that's a good one, though i think kassian is probably a bit more reckless than clowe. clowe seems to mix the power and skill with a good deal of control (at least from afar--my perception could be 100% wrong). also, kassian doesn't have any superfluous letters in his name. ryane. get out of here. |

My parents had a corvair, one of those rear engine deals where the exhaust came into the car.
It poisoned my little brother and me as we rode in the back seat.
That car was a real demon. |

I think, in the grand scheme of things, Yandle coming here would result in the following, by about December of his first season:
YANDLE SUCKS!
Gentlemen, please continue. |
