Seriously guys... sorry you need to jump on the messenger... but what else to you think admonishing means? I am not saying he is the devil but the fact that others GMs look at him with caution is pretty obvious.

Accept it or don't but I give you the truth.

- Beatle_john

So your sense of the truth is that the reason the Leafs are doing badly is that Burke is a scum and nobody will trade with him. Further, Gillis might have traded Hodgson for someone like Kassian off the Leafs roster but decided to string him along instead.

I guess that's one possibility.

JESUS obsess much........

I just know that everything will turn around in TO if the management showed a true commitment to the team.... come on.... Burke/ Wilson --- they are the priority here, no one else.

So after all the talk by you of Burkes hugggge Ego...don't you think he would want nothing more then to win a cup and feed that massive ego. Thats HIS first priority.

I think it's a stretch to say he purposly strung him along... but if deals were pretty even.... I would have to think that past histories would come into play. But I do not mean to suggest that Gillis would activily taunt Burke and then trade to a rival.

Yes the Leafs missed out on Hodgson

i think there are about 5 NHL teams that are quite pissed with Gillis right now.

Lets face it... Burke did nothing to address the immedate needs of the team. He leaves the roster.... he criticized his goalie (or was that Wilson?) and supprts a coach over the outcry of a vastly growing number. What are his expectations for the team now? Why would anyone want to play for Wilson?

You don't think that Vancouver would be interested in a couple mid to late 1st rounders in exchange for Schneider in the off-seaon?
- As_I_See_It

No I don't...They know Schneider is their next goalie...or at least their insurance policy that they have no problem going to if Luongo falters. I really don't think he is available for trade.

I do not see any other GM calling press confreses with ties open and looking beshaggled (is that a word) only to pat himself on the back....

I am sorry. We will just nee dto agree to disagree here.... there are way WAYYYYY to many examples to give.

I apprecaite your opinion and faith. Wish I had it.
