Won't matter if he got fired today.

Teams usually take a couple weeks to buy into a new system. And if he is fired, Gordon willl be the one taking over for now. As the Marlies are a potential calder winning team, and they wont take Eakins off that.

This thing is now going to be mentioned forever. People need to think about how vague the details are on this. Does anyone truly believe that there were four different deals with four different teams for each of these players and a first? If there were four teams looking to trade their first, why didn't they trade it with someone else? It's just as likely the Leafs had one team saying 'we like Grabbo or Kulemin or Mac' and we'd give you a pick for either guy. Another team saying Schenn for a first.

Leaving aside that likely these picks were probably 20th to 30th, if anyone said before the deadline 'the Leafs can work it so they walk away with four seperate first round picks from four different teams', people would have howled that person off the site. This is a total fantasy based off a very vague rumour tweet, but now the mythical 'four firsts' Toronto turned down is going to be the new '2 firsts and a second' and it isn't even in the realm of reality

You gotta go talk to QP in the Engel's thread. He pretty much laid the beats down on me today because Kadri was afraid to fight Blanc and LeWhite. And Anson Carter was bad because NameyMcNamedrop* doesn't like him. Personally I don't even know what this Carter kid is about. This picture just made me think of him.

That's my pick as well, but March 3rd might be the day. After a bad loss to the Habs, Burke will come out and address the media, late night on Saturday instead of Wilson and will let everyone know that Scott Gordon will finish the season as the head coach.
