the game is faster now.. but its lost its grit

the game is getting wimpier by the year

That was the point of the Lockout though, They wanted to make the game faster and get rid of the clutching and grabbing. I like the game the way it is and I don't mind no fighting in the games since most of the time they were staged.

In the old days the guys just went after each other and dropped the gloves there was no talking.

I know i don't want the NHL to put the red line back in. That will slow the game back down since most of the teams are fast and use the stretch pass.

I was allowed to stay up late if it was a Chuck Norris game. I didn't want to miss any of the bench clearing brawls.

Dont worry... Oilers most likely gonna grab a dman with their 2nd, 3rd, 4th pick... wherever they end up.

Dumba?

Murray?

If you'd prefer, we'd gladly trade you Schenn for your pick

I am okay with this moving forward so long as an effort is made to get rid of the guys who chirp / slash / trip / hack (the guys that are all talk and dont back it up) as well.

You want to get rid of concussions?? Get rid of todays body armour that they are wearing.

This is a fact...... back in the 60's and 70's the biggest injury hockey players used to suffer were seperated shoulders. But ever since they built these tank like shoulder pads now, there are no seperated shoulders, but lots of concussions. You couldn't go full speed into another player back then without injuring yourself.

I still think theres plenty of shoulder injuries today.

Probably lots of concussions back then too... just didnt know they existed.
