Ahh. I have stopped listening to WIP (don't tell Glen!) and don't read the comments elsewhere. So I didn't realize that had moved into some people's view of reality. Like I said, dolts!
For a light-hearted addition to today's interactions. We were tweeting stupid things people yell during the game...
Hit somebody! (when they are on the PK)
Stand em up at the blueline (they apparently do not understand the interference rule)
HAND PASS!!! (when the guy is in his defensive zone.)
feel free to add your own. - bodiva88
When people say the goalie should have had a shot that was a tick tac toe pass play in the middle of 2-3 coverage breakdowns. |

Time is the problem other guys in his class are developing faster...Logan couture and so on. - Philly1980
Time isn't really the problem. Patience is the issue. JVR has basically lost an entire Season to injury. Players are individuals. They develop differently as individuals. It's why examples such as John LeClair have been given. JVR is what 22? There is plenty of time. |

How many times is Lava going to need to take a time out within the first ten minutes of a game before people start looking at the fact that the coach has habitually failed to get the team ready for the start of a game? - the deaninator
It brings to light the question, how does a Coach get a team ready for the start of the game? |

I'm not talking about the people here who were being tongue in cheek about it -- I'm talking about ones that actually believed it. - bmeltzer
Tongue in cheek indeed. On a more serious note though Bill, I believe Bryz's struggles are intentional. As a Russian he must be making the Flyers suffer due to their hate of having Russians on their team back in the day.
I think I'm on to something here..... |

Yeah. That seems to be a specialty of some defensemen.
I just remember that Dan McGillis for a while back then used to always be in motion with the puck so his point shots got through and didn't go bouncing back for the inevitable shortie against. I'm more likely to be shouting Move move (which sadly sounds like shoot, I suppose) when they are static on the PP. - bodiva88
I will yell (at the TV) "Shoot it quicker". They tend to stand admiring the puck before shooting it into someone. |

Tempt not the blade, all fear the Sentinel!
If they'd take the ice to Painkiller, I'd probably die of awesome. |

I saw them when they hit the IZOD last time (second time seeing them), they're still a damn great live presence. I hope I get another chance to see them. |

Worse than any of the back seat coaches are the people you her a seat or two away on a game long tirade against one or two particular players. A few typical scapegoats have been suggested in this thread, but you really do get all types. Non-stop, through the whole game regardless of score, pissing and moaning at that "just a couple notches above conversational volume" that everybody around them has to hear it. |

I'm expecting discomfort when the guy who threw his hands up in disgust every time Bryz made a save (because he didn't make them....easily enough?? I don't know) comes back because I gave him an earful. I was just sick of his act and told him to just do us all a favor and root for the other team. Fortunately he's probably a 6-8-game-a-season guy. |

They're kinda semi-retired (K.K. is fully retired).
They plan to keep recording but they're probably only going to play huge places/festivals from now on.
No more long tours. |

Well, Epitaph was supposed to be the end for them, but it seems like that decision is more and more being taken back. The new guitarist really seems to be injecting a lot of energy. He was pretty impressive when I saw them. It is a shame K.K. couldn't be there, though. All I know is any chance I get, I'll see them.
Of course, right now my sights are set on Maiden in June. Playing right across the river, and Alice Cooper is opening. It should be one hell of a concert. |

I'm really annoyed at the 12:30 game time for 3/18. I'm singing for the first time in months at an 11 am service. I'll miss part of the first period. |

Second game of a back to back after being in Boston on St. Patrick's Day. It will probably be 3-0 before you get in your seat. A chance for Lost Weekend III |

I don't understand this. I mean, frustration is one thing, and everybody deals with it differently. I can deal with that. It's the ones that can't be satisfied, even if it's an utterly convincing win, and have to take it out on everybody that grind my gears. |
