Because if you're going to say
then you have to look at ALL the d-men who have been Flyers. Otherwise, you should say, "...we've had in franchise history that I have bothered to research." - Flyskippy
Well I did use the word "seem", which left me open to being wrong. Maybe you missed that. Silly me though. |

Paul Coffey is the reason why I'm a Flyers fan today. As some know I'm from the Windsor/Detroit area and he was a pretty big deal. When he left Detroit and had a short stint Hartford, I followed to Philly. Once anyone has gotten into the habit of watching Lindros and LeClair play, who could leave? - roenick97
I was excited when Coffey ended up in Philly. He was only 2 years removed from being a point per game defenseman, I thought he would be something close to that in Philadelphia, so I was extremely disappointed. Perhaps my expectations were too high, but I didn't expect his production would fall off a cliff. I remember him playing in the Finals against the Wings, and he looked old, slow... looked shot. |

The number 77 is still something to consider putting on an old jersey if you happen to find a blank one in your closet, which I happen to. |

lindros ended his career...as a teammate.
also, pretty sure that coffey pic is from a preseason game. brind'amour always wore the c when eric was out iirc. - OrangeBlack27
Yeah. I said in my previous post that it might have been a pre-season game. I don't recall Coffey ever wearing the "C". I believe Brindy went 4 or 5 straight years without missing a game in Philly. An absolute Iron Man. |

When Brind'amour was traded for Primeau, I was only excited because Primeau had a higher rating in NHL99. His size and skill never hurt but I never saw the reason for that trade other then Brindy was hurt for the first half of that season. |

That shade of orange is much better than whatever this current shade is. Pumpkin Orange is what I call it. |

I always tried to pull off the cut across with Lindros and LeClair. It was a goal every time. |

I haven't gotten into the league in a week because I left my battery pack in Canada and only have one of those booster packs, without a cable to charge it. I'm still pretty pissed that someone and his brother (Not naming names) left without giving me the heads up and we're now down to 28, when we could be at 30. Very disappointing. |

Could Kimmo Timonen ever be considered to have his number raised as a Flyer? Could be a silly question to some but the Flyers have had very little luck by find a true number 1 goaltender and it's starting to look the same with Flyers defenseman. In the interest of Mark Howe Day coming, Only Desjardins and Howe himself seem to be the best defensemen we've had in franchise history. Chris Pronger also could have been considered one but his career here was cut short, which only leaving Timonen next in line. - roenick97
I agree we would need to win at least one cup and he would need to be a big part of it. Timmonen is a good D man but not HOF worth IMHO. I unfortunately don't see it happening. |

one-timers for life. also, that was the year where a quick shot off a loose puck in front was almost always a goal. |
