Thoughts about the game.
1) Miller may squeak the Sabres into the playoffs. He is getting all the bounces on top of his steady play.
2) Sedins need to wake up.
3) Kassian and Kesler. The Killer K's. I want to see Booth Kesler and Kassian stick together for a while and see what happens.
4) Raymond should have been dealt at the deadline.
5) Take away the first 5 min, and Canucks deserved to win the game. Happy with the overall effort.
6) Rome. Awful.

The 1st period killed us.
Who didnt think that AV took the wrong guy off the 2nd line when Booth was demoted for Kassian instead of Raymond the other night? - boonerbuck
Agreed. You can tell Kassian has got some hands. His frame gives him some space, and if he throws the body like that, I could see Kesler and Kassian doing some damage.

I'm not that pissed that Buffalo won, keeps them ahead of the Leafs. - hertzman
Yeah, whenever it is an Eastern-Western match up I don't get too worried. We need to clinch 1st seed though to get one of Dallas, Colorado or Calgary. I don't see LA sneaking in due to the tiebreaker of Regulation-Overtime wins.
Who's worse, Rome or the Sedins right now? - hertzman
Equally all 3 have been a joke, Sedins are becoming the 2nd or 3rd line. Not sure what is going on with them but it's kind of scary with the big dance looming

They have been very quiet minus big games against the Leafs and the Oilers. I don't know if it is fatigue catching up to them? Who knows, but I'll take a dryspell now as opposed to in the playoffs.

Rome has been brutal In the playoffs Ballard can step in. Sedins ,I never have been a fan but I do respect them ,maybe split them up for 5 games and see how it goes.Raymond does not belong . It is useless putting him on the 4 th line. Would love for Duco and Bitz to be called up .

The Sedins are clicking as long as our PP is doing well. I feel like that is a large part of it. We have a home stand until mid march, so hopefully they can get some home cooking, go over the PP structure, and find their scoring touch.

Lapierre seemed more effective last game when he had a partner in crime. I'd like to see the dynamic of another banger on the 4th with Malhotra and Lapierre. I'm assuming Duco is the faster skater although Bitz is the bigger body. Kassian to stay on the second and hopefully get Kesler more engaged physically.
Do they have to send someone down in order to bring one of these guys up? If not, it's time to try that experiment.
So far-----Kassian, 1 goal, 1 assist, a million hits.
Coho------Nothingness- Instead of learning from 2 of the best centers in the league, you demand a trade......good riddance

Interesting story behind it, whatever it is. Cody definitely sounded a lot less shocked and wounded in the interview today on CBC than on his interview deadline day on TSN.
