Take two top defenseman out of the lineup. And most teams would be a lot worse off. - MJL
teams with a real goalie wouldn't have to worry |

Wait I thought we could roll out Timonen next season as the #1?
Just re-sign Carle and lets roll the dice again hoping for a miracle fix. Thought the lesson would have been learned with Pronger. - flyer_nutter
I think the plan is to go after Suter hard, or least it should be. This defense core without Pronger has struggled immensely this year, bringing back basically the same group isn't the answer. |

Absolutely. Pay through the nose for a a guy who is a moderately better version of Carle. That way it's easy to know who the scapegoat will be next season. |

So re-sign Carle at 5+, and expect a 37 year old Timonen to be the anchor? Doesn't sound great, but what do I know. |

Honestly, you know how to complain about everything under the Sun. You'll find a way to dislike Suter. I have full and unabashed confidence in you being able to string a great diatribe about his shortcomings together no later than Halloween or at the latest Thanksgiving. |

Tonight is a great chance for Bryz to stand on his head and rescue this team from injury.
I know he will do his best and even without Timonen and Meszaros they can beat the Caps.
But tonight, I hope Bryz DOES stand on his head and steal this game for the Flyers. Just for his own edification. |

I complain about anything and everything that has to do with going on 4 decades without winning.
If people don't like it, tough. I don't give a damn.

The defense core hasn't struggled immensely. That's innacurate. The team as a whole has had issues defensively. But that isn't on the defenseman alone. They have a very good defensive core, even without Pronger.

It's not a matter of disliking it. It's just tiresome and kind of sad.
I'll get you some Kleenex so you can continue your tears over Patrick Sharp, now that's it's going on a decade since he was traded |

It used to bother me when you first joined, but now I find it kind of soothing.
Just a message board, no need to get worked up over what someone says. Never understand why some care so much. Nothing what someone says on here changes how much of a fan I am.
Keep it coming you loon. |

Very common for a team to lose a top 9 forward, and two of their top 4 D-Men in the same game for an extended period of time. Happens league wide. Nothing to see here Nutter.
- PLindbergh31
again im still not clear what you are insuating with these posts. bad luck, a curse, or are you saying the trainers/medical staff are at fault? |

If the Flyers have a very good defense core even without Pronger I never should have escaped from the loony bin. |

I'd like to see how other defense cores around the League would fare if you took away the #1 defenseman, give them a lack of support from overall team defense. And subpar goaltending. I only wish Holmgren was aware of how poor his defense core is.

Meh... Is what it is Nutter. I will start complaining about stuff besides the actual team instead.
How unbelievable is it that the media is reporting Holmgren said all of the defenseman were given maintenance days yesterday. Irresponsible bunch, here come the Holmgren was lying stories tomorrow. - PLindbergh31
I like it. Nice to have a dose of realism. My skin is hard enough. Thats lacking a lot in today's society.

I have no issues with Plind or his POV on the goings on with the Flyers.

In the words of our old friend, they've "done a lot of good things out there".
The Hawks, Canucks, Bruins, Rangers, Predators and Red Wings are praying to voodoo dolls hoping their defense cores will be one-tenth as good as the Flyers. |

Maybe the Flyers should just trade them, let them walk in UFA, and just start over. Since it's so poor.

Why the trolling? If you don't agree with MJL's point then explain why. |
