All year?
More like since 1997. - dadeadhead
Yeah, I guess you are right. Either way, I found it very, very odd that the one time he decides not to change lines was last night when you could pull into a playoff position.
On a side note, has Regehr lost another step, or is he just not completely healthy? |

Combination of both IMO.

I'm sure someone noticed that Lindy had Roy with Gerbe and Kaleta, and Lieno centering Pommer and Van for a while until he started pushing to get a goal late in the third - Bleed B&G
I noticed it, but I think it was only because they got caught in a change. Leino looked like he decided to joined the rush instead of coming off for Roy. I don't think it was intentional. |

Geesh... Sabre fans are such wimps. Grow a pair already. I loved the silver medal chant. Let's face the facts, people. You don't "win" a silver medal; you lose a gold medal game. Fact is that Miller caughed up a weak golden goal. Miller blew a 3-1 lead in the third period of game 7 against Carolina. Whenever the chips are really on the line, Miller gags it up.
I only wish the miserable SOBs in the 300-level of the First Niagara Center could cheer with a quarter of the heart as the people in Peg. - lacaprup

He does have a point. The "Silver Medal" chant didn't bother me. Remember back in 2006, during the Flyers series when HSBC Arena erupted in a chant of "U-S-A! U-S-A!" when Esche got pulled? It's the same thing. |

That game last night was just a pitiful all around showing by our team. I have never seen so many turn overs, poorly passed pucks, lack of hustle, and lack of physicality in my life.
Kaleta played horrible, Regehr got beat bad, Vanek/Roy/Pommer are MIA.

Sorry I disagree. Too many turn overs, too much just throwing poop at the front of the net with no one home just too much bullpoop. - Pope of Pucks
Correction : throwing garbage to the front of the net that never even makes it there! |

Jets fans have the right to yell "silver medal" just like we can rip Heatley for murdering his teammate. I don't have a problem with either.
But it should stay at the arena, coming onto a forum the next day and continuing the ribbing, when your team is only up 4 points in the standings, has played more games, embarks on a huge road trip this week, and is in the first year of their "rebirth" where the post-season wasn't expected...is just plain crazy. |

Wait.. why do "Jets" fans have the right? Which of their players was on Team Canada? Which of their players had any impact in the Olympics?
They have the right just because they now a Canada-based team again? c'mon man. |

i know you didnt exactly bring it up, but using the "west coast travel" excuse doesnt work well when your talking about jets even when you play 4 games in 6 nights or whatever, the jets have to pretty much do that ALL season not just for part of a season, a few games
so throw that excuse out the window - dmarsden2988
When the Jets win 3 out of 4 on the road against San Jose, Anaheim, and Vancouver, let us all know as we are desperate for that information. |

I hate to use the term "murder" in a situation like that. It implies that he set out with the intent to kill the guy, which I doubt happened. That's why I felt the nickname "Captain Manslaughter" was much more appropriate. |

It's not an offensive remark, and as a fan you have the right to chant as you please in your home arena. Do I think their chant was flawed conceptually...yes, but they have the right to voice it.

They have a right because theyre canadian, and the canadian national team won the gold medal. I thought the chant was funny. |

Okay that I agree with yes... they have the right to chant anything they want in the home arena. I thought you meant they had some connection to that game so they could. |

Obviously I'm joking, only former Bills players murder people.
My point was that I don't have a problem with any of these so called "classless" chants by the fans. Thats just me, maybe others find them uncalled for, but it doesn't bother me one bit.
**EDIT**
The thing I'm most bothered by is how quiet the FNC is some nights...Sabres fans should be chanting as well. We have carolina tomorrow night, how about some mantra about how lucky they were in 06' that we had no defenseman...hmmm can't think of a catchy line. |
