At the beginning of the season I would of said Vanek was untouchable but now.Vanek/Stafford for Nash.Both wingers need a change of scenery win win for us.

Kostitsyn, Gaustad, Gill, and Suter are all UFAs.

They bring in Vanek and don't have to re-up Colin Wilsons RFA rights.

They bring back Radulov. Trade Suter's rights. Keep Shea Weber long term.

Nashville has GREAT defense in their AHL and young players like Blum, Ellis, Bouillion, and Klein.

I would much rather dump Vanek for more draft choices or top notch prospects and sign Parise to that type of money.

Then we can use those picks and Roy/Adam to get the #1 center.

Anything over #5 is a crap shoot.
I rather parlay them and get a proven player who doesn't have to spend time in Roch.

You cant just sign Parise cause you want to...didnt work so well with Richards.

No, Vanek isnt worth what he makes, but that's the way it goes. If you want more picks or prospects for him thats fine.....I don't. i dont want to wait 3-5 years for these prospects and picks to MAYBE turn into something. I want a proven player in return for him.
