i dont see why though. Would you want people in your organization working with your prospects? - Homer
We have so many D prospects they probably figured having him play somewhere was better than him sitting out the rest of the season. Especially since he missed so much time last year and early in the season this year. |

Kinda wierd.....then again sounds similar to when Avery was assigned to Hartford(NYR AHL team) while still being paid by the Stars organization. - J03Y
He's being paid by both Organizations. |

I'm really referring to the trash talk that has been here. The atmosphere was great, and has been all year, but you have to remember that building is 30% smaller that other buildings in the NHL. There isnt anything going on there that isn't going on in Montreal. - Buffalo--Sabres
not quite 30%, maybe 15%...we hold 18 and change, they hold 15 and change |

Vancouver did that with Paetsch 2 years ago.
They sent him to Rochester to play instead of the Moose. - dadeadhead
I did not know that. Crazy. Nate was a decent 2 way player. |

IDK why he would have to sit the rest of the season. So they are telling us that he can't crack the top 6 down there? Not good. |

ya, but that didn't happen until NY claimed him off waivers. He wasn't on waivers until after he went to play in Hartford if I remember correctly.
But again, Dallas didn;t have an AHL affiliate at the time so not quite sure how that all works.

See Nylander being lent to Grand Rapids while being paid by Washington. |

Up untill last year he was at an almost ppg pace.
Team isn't very good around him.
Give him top notch wingers and watch him flourish. - dadeadhead
I'd rather give ROR the $5M for the term.
PS had one year where he hit 79 pts.
Last year he was 57p/74gp
This year 41p/67g
He's got decent #'s on the dot; but ROR's are about the same |

Landeskog brings good bang for the buck.
He's @ 41pts this year so far on a line no better than we have right now.
Never said we would ask for COL's 1st.
TV+ (picks/players) for GL & RO'R+ (picks or players) - Purple Eagle
I think the only way Colorado would even ponder the deal you have above is if it was modified to look something like this :
Vanek + Tyler Myers + Buffalo's 1st in 2012 for GL + RO'R + Colorado's 1st. |

Your saying GL + ROR for TV & TM?

His 1st 4 yrs
82gp 78pts
66gp 71pts
45gp 36pts
81gp 79pts
274gp 264pts
I stand by my previous statement that up untill last year he was at an almost ppg clip. |

Colorado doesn't have a 1st - dadeadhead
Then it would have to be their 2013 1st.
If they don't have that, then subtract the picks.
My point is that Myers is the only way they would even think about the deal mentioned, to me. |

Yep and even then they won't do it.
Landeskog is the second coming of Forsberg for them.
O'Reilly is their future captain crunch. |

I'm not either. I think this weather is killing me. My sinuses are so messed up. I can hardly breathe right now and my throat hurts from breathing through my mouth all night.
Not the way I wanted to start my day off. At all. |

And I'll stand by the idea of offer-sheeting O'Reilly for less $ and getting a slightly younger guy who is about the same size and has nearly identical (as Garth would say) tertiary stats.

Reading that it would be full on insanity for Buffalo shows me that the deal would be at least fair for consideration. |

Point is they match it right away so you just waste your time with the sheet.
Fact of the matter is O'Reilly is a pipe dream. I think everyone including you knows that.
As is Kopitar and Getzlaf.
Stastny is a viable option. An expensive one but viable and realistic one.
Vanek +
Or Staff and Sekera +
For Stastny +
Duchene, O'Reilly, and Landeskog are about as untouchable as they get. |
