...........and yet there are still teams "trying" to get to the cap floor. It's getting (frank)ed up again dude. Flyers, Leafs, etc have the dough. Many others don't. - rockychocbill
revenue sharing needs tweaking, but it's just a band aid. at some point (long, long from now), it will be time to cut ties with the teams that can't sustain themselves. |

If you can't see JVR's potential, then I disagree. - bradleyc4
Perhaps I'm putting to much stock into a key season in his development being a washout due to injury. These injuries are bad luck, so it's not like he can be labeled injury prone. If he had played a full season to this point, and he was sitting at 20+ goals right now, it wouldn't be an issue. |

if we got the number 2 pick the year before or after, it would have been jordan staal or doughty. |

Donald Fehr says good luck with that. Or by long, long time do you mean after he has passed on? |

Figures. I actually think JvR can be as good as Jordan Staal. Doughty is a very good defenseman but he is very expensive at a young age already. |

Typical Flyers can't even suck during the best draft crop.
Flyers would have took Staal too. LOL

He is going to be paid the second highest player on the team behind Phaneuf. - stveshdy
And deservedly so, IMO. |

I'm stunned by all the people in the stands, it's not bad enough to see the winning goal scored, people tortured themselves sitting there watching Kane pass the cup to Sharp and Eager. Screw that. I would have been out of there so quick. |

I would have dressed up in all Chicago equipment grabbed hold of the cup, and took it to the Flyers locker room. Then would have smashed it in front of the whole locker room.

Good luck with which part, exactly?
And by long time, I mean it's going to be a while, if ever, before leagues stop expanding and actually contract. But at some point, particularly in the NHL, Detroit, Toronto, Montreal, Philly, Chicago, NYR and Boston will get sick of carrying the rest of the league. |

I can understand wanting to see it being awarded, but I know I would have literally stormed out of my seat the second the puck went in the net. No chance I would be able to sit there and watch that. |

just to put it in perspective, Landeskog, as a rookie, has already played well in 24 games |
