No. Even Voracek said today he thought it was a clean hit and unavoidable once Kronwall stepped up on him. He did not think it was suspension-worthy, nor did Jagr, Talbot, Holmgren and others.

He's made a fair share of suspect plays, yes. But to say that he's been completely useless is a drastic exaggeration. I actually thought he looked stellar coupled with Jagr on the recent road trip.

I think if we weren't so banged up Briere should be a HS for a game to 2 to wake his butt up.... Say all you want about being a past Hero's, but look on other teams... Knuble was a HS this year.... Kovalchuk was last year... Briere doesnt play D... If he isnt scoring.... He should be sitting..

If the player puts himself in a vulnerable position immediately prior to contact or simultaneous to the contact, then it's a mitigating factor. From watching the video, Voracek turns from the boards to center ice just before he gets hit. If he's still facing the boards, he's hit on the shoulder and not the face.

Thank you for that. Now we can all move forward. I will say, I wish the NHL didn't show that clip as a highlight for the week. It is sickening in a bad way.

I meant that saying Bryz had improved because of them was probably overstating their impact. Since Bryz improved throughout February.

Oh, Bryz was improving I just think their presence augments the progression and if we had them throughout the season or Pronger the damage would have been much more minimized. Ah feels good to read and discuss something other than this kronwall hit

Wow, I agree with this statement. Briere is not effective unless he is willing to go to the dirty areas of the ice and lately that hasn't happened. In the POs he is willing to get hit, sacrifice, in the regular season? Not so much.

Have those 3 even played 12 games together the past 2 seasons?

I believe last year we have 1.5 games (winter classic and game after it) with all three and this year I believe we have had 4-5 games with all three. So to answer you, No. No we haven't
