FLYERS
Hartnell - Giroux - Schenn

Rinaldo - Talbot - Wellwood
Zolnierczyk - Couturier - Shelley
Wow...I'm not even sure what to say about those lines... - wolfhounds
There is a slight chance Jagr will play tonight. But if not, that's a lineup that you would think will struggle to put the puck in the net. |

carter and richards were traded regardless of their monster contract
what if both just checked out and did nothing to earn their contracts? - 2Real
That's the risk teams take signing players to long contracts like that... It's a calculated risk... |

It was a impulse buy. The Straka hit + contract extension = worst 150 bones i have ever spent. My friends still break my balls about it to this day - FrankDrebbin
No worse than Kukkonen. |

Look who is on top of the Western division right now.
Bill's other team has jumped ahead of the Sharks, Phoenix and the Kings.
The last few playoff spots in the west are really tight, 3 points between #7 and #11. |

I'm not all that surprised, because Stars have had their lineup healthy -- minus Brenden Morrow -- for last couple weeks. That has frequently been the case for the Stars: they are very competitive club in West when full (or nearly full) lineup is intact but when depth starts to get tested, they don't hold up. |

Yep. Much better now. NBC Sports actually has some worth while programming other than hockey. OLN didn't and Versus had very little. - PLindbergh31
OLN had the Tour de France and not much else until they got hockey. But I love that TdF coverage. |

Yes. I'm saying if an NHL team wanted to release a player to clear cap space, and a contract slot, they would still have to pay said player, how is that unfair to anyone? - PLindbergh31
Because GM's would take a nice idea and find loopholes to make it work in thier advantage... Like I said offering a 30 year old a 11-12 year contract, knowing he will be released in 6-7 years with no cap hit... |

Stellar avatar sir. Roenick out, Howe in please! - PLindbergh31
I knew somebody would tweet that. I was actually going to put Recchi in there but I knew for sure somebody would flame me for that. I have a decent pic of Howe from the alumni game. I might switch them out tonight.
.........or just add it. |

Bill that is why I asked you if they would trade Grossmann. I felt all along that the Stars would be a playoff team. They are playing very well and Lehtonen is lights out right now. |
