So far the only reported issues are the stitches and swelling of his lip and neck pain. Better to be safe.
Jagr is a game time decision, said he felt better than expected in morning skate. |

Smart move to sit him out as a precaution. The good news is there isn't a concussion. But we have seen symptoms creep up on guys days later. JVR being the prime example. |

That's what I am hoping, that they're sitting him for 3 or 4 days to make sure there's no late on set symptoms and avoid a JvR situation. |

Jim McCrossin came to the Flyers in 2002, which according to my yearbook, was well after the Keenan years, as well as the Lindros and Terry Murray/Roger Neilson Eras, too. Also, he missed the Bill Barber years by one.
But, hey, what do actual facts matter? - Jsaquella
Jim McCrossin is the Athletic Trainer/Strength and Conditioning Coach of both the Flyers and the Philadelphia Phantoms, the Flyers' AHL affiliate...Is in his 10th season with the Flyers...Spent the previous five seasons also with the Phantoms...Served as the Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Hartford Whalers during the 1995-96 season... Previously worked with the Flyers as an athletic trainer with Pat Croce...Is a graduate of West Chester University and is a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist CSCS)...Is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association, the National Strength and Conditioning Association and the American Academy of Sports Medicine...Jim has four children: Kevin, J.D., Danielle, and Luke...He and his wife, Robyn, reside in New Jersey.
Before his current 10 year run with the team, he worked with Flyers before going to Hartford |

Absolutely. Sometimes though, its better to get rocked and knocked out.. I have seen guys knocked wacky and never even have a head ache. It seems the more glancing or clipping shots do the worse damage |

Yep. Much better now. NBC Sports actually has some worth while programming other than hockey. OLN didn't and Versus had very little. - PLindbergh31

Yup. Those little short square blows right on the button seem to do the most damage.
I think the impact of Voracek's head hitting the ice may have been worse than the hit he absorbed. When I saw his arms go straight up in the air it looked like a scary situation. The fact the referees didn't halt play immediately was a disgrace. |

Yeah, or I guess worst case scenario is he failed the baseline test and is indeed concussed. |

Yep, and he was in Hartford and with the Phantoms during much of the time that Bill mentioned. He was in Hartford in 1994-95, and spent 1996-2002 with the Phantoms.
Also, Croce wasn't a trainer. He was a strength and condition coach, which is not somebody who handles treatment of injuries. McCrossin didn't become head trainer until 2002. |

If you look closely, you can see the money falling out of the referee's pockets during games. |

I was stunned that play continued for what felt like another 10 seconds, although I'm sure it was less than that.
It was a terrifying hit to see, although clean, you really hate seeing any player on the end of one of them, unless it's Nathan Horton. |

I bet it was about 10 seconds.. I was so busy watching Czechie struggle on the ice that I didnt even realize how close Kronwall was to scoring on the play...
Reminded me of when Thorsson blocked that shot with his nuts against the Caps.. rolled around in agony for about 20 seconds while the caps passed the puck around and around and finally scored (followed up the goal with a pile on celebration). |
