It wasn't that bad, but definitely a 2 minute penalty. - MJL
the fact that his name is rinaldo doesn't help his cause either. it was close |

i don't think they'll actually catch them. all i want is for there to be no more injuries, and the team playing with confidence and on a general win streak into april, not limping like they've done for the past several years. - hammarby31

That's the point Joe. They don't have a struggling attack. They are a solid offensive team. It's a misconception that they aren't good offensively. They have an outstanding group of defenseman. - MJL
See I don't fear their attack. I think they are just opportunistic. If you don't give them opportunity they won't make a lot happen. Richards and Gaborik can but the rest of them just seem like glorified third liners to me. Now the Flyers, they have Giroux, Briere, Jagr, Hartnell, Read, Simmonds etc. who all make stuff happen. When they try to be opportunistic we see1-0 or 2-1 losses and in some cases 6-1
Then again the Rangers could take their game to another level in the playoffs and then just forget it because I don't think any of the other teams have much higher of a level to go to and that includes the Flyers. |

The guy next to me tonight would like you all to know that Bryz was just lucky tonight.
No, I didn't kill him. I am a free woman on my home computer now.
At least he knew shouting SHOOT SHOOT throughout the power play was stupid. - bodiva88

Has there been an athlete in Philly that has turned around public perception as drastically as Scott Hartnell? The guy has been a stud, still gets a sill penalty here or there, but nothing like it was when he first got here. He's come a long way from throwing his glove on the ice..
But seriously for conversation purposes, has there been a player that has grown like this in recent memory? |

That's the only reason it was a penalty. It was a side shot...not even all that bad.
If that was boarding, boarding is occurring all the time and is rarely called. |

Bryagalov is doing exactly what we all knew he was capable of doing. I think he's putting hope back into fans again. I love this guy, I always wanted him on my team before he even got here.
Nicklas Grossman has been the perfect pick up and I'm sure can play anywhere between the 5th and 6th Dman. He's also doing a fantastic job while Timonen, Kubina and Meszaros are out with injures. Actually the entire D core deserves credit.
How Schenn has gone from a sad minus to one goal away from being at even is amazing to me as a rookie. In my opinion he was an automatic upgrade over Voracek on the PP. Voracek has yet to get a PP goal on the season, which leads me to believe that he hasn't been great at his position on the PP and Schenn could be a better fit there (No offense to Voracek).
Hartnell, Simmonds, Read, Talbot. These are hard working players, we're lucky to have them especially at their cap hits.
Believe me when I say, Wellwood is important to the youth group and future of this team. He's a gem we were lucky to draft late. He'll do a great job replacing whatever Nodl was suppose to be. |

I'm still not in love, and he wasn't my first choice (that woulda been Vokoun), but he has started to give me some hope like you said. Way more than at any point this season. I guess the little meeting the leadership guys had with him has really pumped him up. He is quite the character that's for sure. |
