I'm glad you commented on the unsportsmanlike call on Lilja. The call was a joke, and the officiating has been brutal lately across the league. |

It's very possible that they might decide to move another defenseman to keep Grossmann and Carle. Grossmann has brought a lot of stability, and Carle can move the puck better than most of the rest of the defense. While Erik Gustafsson has shown flashes, I still think they need a guy like Carle. - Jsaquella
I agree, Grossmann has bee outstanding and I really think Homer is re-sign him. |

Brandon "Mandog" Manning - bmeltzer
??
Great album by King's X. Bryz had been singing "Pretend" of late:
...I can't remember when I could say goodnight
then something comes into my head and then a change
I work it out somehow I guess I've got my ways
but then I wonder how did I get it wrong
it doesn't matter now.
I pretend.
Awesome effort by the Flyers last night. Four in a row, let's make it 5. |

So I wanna eat some crow..
I said when Timonen and Meszy went down that the situation was scary, blah blah blah.
The team defense has been the best I have seen in sometime, over the past 2 weeks. Keep it up boys.. the best way to pick up your offense is by stopping the other team, and taking the puck. Cant score if you dont have the puck (usually).
Coburn was nasty last night, and I loved every bit of it! Rinaldo was wildly effective as well. Throwing hits constantly, in the players heads, took a bad penalty, but made up for it by getting Goober to take a bad one as well (Flyers scored on that PP).
G was money again... and played that physical game that elevates and compliments his skill set so well. Briere is on the verge of breaking through.. Seemed like he had chance after chance, and set things up beautifully.

If Suter's going to cost $7mm, I have no desire to add him. If they can get a long term deal that keeps his cap hit down, fine, but if Suter's getting $7mm and Carle's getting $5mm, I'll take Carle. - Jsaquella
I agree. I'd rather have Carle at 5m and Grossmann maybe at 3.5 for a total of 8.5 than just Suter at 7. |

Read is leading rookies in goals. Henrique in pts.
Pretty easy to figure out rookie scoring by team at NHL.com, but you have to do it team by team and I don't have time. But for example, NJ has 70 pts from rookies (45 of them from Henrique) and the Flyers have 99 (39 from Read).

I've never seen a jersey split like Rinaldo's did in that fight. Jersey fabric is pretty darned sturdy and that just blew up. |
|
|
|
I would be okay with that if the Flyers decide to do that. You would think it has to be Mezzy or Coburn. Who do you move? - stveshdy
Right now Mezzy and if Coburn continues to play with more of a nastier edge |

Actually the RBK Edge stuff isn't as durable as the old poly mesh, but it's still not easy to rip like that. |

Barkann went Skip Bayless faster than anyone I can recall, ever, as soon as he got the gig at WIP. |

Yeah. You would think RNH would be running away from everyone if he didn't get injured. |
