I was very pleased with the effort and execution last night. The Flyers played a very solid game against a team that's currently leading it's division, who usually plays them pretty hard.
Nice to see Bryzgalov getting love from the fans. Although I do wish that people had been more supportive during his struggles, as Todd Fedoruk pointed out on twitter last night, a lot of guys who have survived the gauntlet of the sometimes fickle fanbase have used it to become better players. Keith Primeau and Scott Hartnell are probably the best examples of this. - Jsaquella
I'm really disapointed in our fan base.... How is it we have not started the "Breeeze" chant yet, like the Bouch chant.... If I was able to afford Season tickets this year, you better believe I would be starting it... Come on Flyersbuzzers... Lets lead the way...

I thought the fans were great last night and showed bryz a ton of support in his shut out bid.
With prongers money (probably) comming off the books, I feel like we have enough to Keep grossmann, carle, mezz, coby, keemo, and use a rookie for the last spot. I would be ok with that, especially when you consider that this is a d man heavy draft so hopefully we get a nice prospect out of the first round. I would even keep Kubina if the cap hit was low.
Do we have anything in the 2nd and 3rd round or did we trade them? - flyers4487
Unfortunately, this seems to be the standard and not the exception anymore. - Flyskippy
I shred the beat writers as much as anyone, but sometimes the agenda is driven by the editors and not the writers. And no, it's not an easy gig to be a beat writer for a sports team.
However, there's no need to be Woodward and Bernstein, either.

It doesn't resonate. They did it last night, but the vowel doesn't work. I think EEL-YUH EEL-YUH would at least have a rhythm to it.

They did.. I was being slightly sarcastic... But Bryz's name lends itself to the perfect chant, just like Boooooouch.... But isntead it's Breeeeeeaze.... I know Boooch was easier for Flyers fans because it has Booo in it, but a little practice and we can turn that Booo into Breez!

Didn't you hear? There's no such thing as sarcasm when it comes to Bryz

I figured you were being a little sarcastic. By the playoffs they'll have his chant down!
Anybody know how much Kubina might want to stay next year? I would keep Grossmann for about 3 to 3.5 million, Kubina for about 4 million, and Carle for about 4.5 million. You guys think that is doable?
