Could you imagine if he pots 40 this year? - FrankDrebbin

That contingent of people amaze me sometimes.
Yeah, taking your best defenseman and last year's Barry Ashbee Trophy winner out of the lineup and replacing them with your #7 and a rookie makes the club better. Has nothing at all to do with Bryzgalov playing his best hockey of the season, the forwards focusing on helping out more and the remaining defensemen elevating their own play as well. Just addition by subtraction - bmeltzer
Fan-wise, there will be more addition by subtraction once the Phillies' season starts, hopefully. |

When it's a fast-paced two-syllable, it never sounds like taunting. It's the slow, drawn out one that's the taunt. - bmeltzer
I just think its easier to say Breeze after a big save, then start chanting IL-YA. Chants get choppy... One Quick Breeze would be more unique and much better IMO. |

amazing how people don't look at all at context. like people always citing vince young's w-l record as a starter with the titans. he just knows how to win! no, he just happened to have a great defense, and one of the best running games in the league and managed to not royally frank up too often or so much so that the rest of his teammates were unable to pick him up. |

Please don't start this at all. I despise the Loooooooooou chants here in VanCity every time the puck bounces off Luongo's blocker. |

Post game WIP caller of the night (paraphrased)
Read in a poopty half drunk Philadelphia accent:
"Do you think its no coincidence that since Timo and Mezsaros have been out the defense has really stepped up its game? Maybe its time to send them down to the Phantoms like the Rangers did with Redden?" - MBFlyerfan
He's right, but for the wrong reason..... Except the second part that is... IMO Timo and Mezs absense has forced everyone else to work twice as hard on defense, which is why they seem better defensively. If they played this hard when Timo, Mezs and Kubina come back they will be 5 times better. Lets hope they dont go back to lazy back-checking thinking Timonen will be back there to pick up the slack...

Samir: Yes, this is horrible, this idea. |

They did.. I was being slightly sarcastic... But Bryz's name lends itself to the perfect chant, just like Boooooouch.... But isntead it's Breeeeeeaze.... I know Boooch was easier for Flyers fans because it has Booo in it, but a little practice and we can turn that Booo into Breez! - RooNosHockey

IL-YA, IL-YA... it sounds more like a taunt then a cheer, and much easier for a foreign fan base to mock.
I know the Fan's are really good at the Boo, which makes Boooosch much easier... But Breeez would be awesome... - RooNosHockey
Quick cadence it's like an accentuated clap. there's a huge difference between that and a whiney sing songy derisive chant. |

The more intelligent Flyer fan was thinking how a team can really pull together in adversity and pays more attention to the details. And that this could be a good experience for everyone to see what is possible when they do that, instead of coasting on the coat tails of others. Hoping it wakes them all up to the possibilities if they each give the full measure. |
