what do you think of manning? i had never even heard of him until this week, and he did a pretty good job on kessel i thought. looks promising. - Don'tForgetTocchet
never heard of Manning but he is a pleasant suprise to say the least. To think we thought we had nobody in the pipeline and some of these guys are comming out of the wood work |

Think the reason why he's making it look easy is because he is tracking the puck so well. The stop on Filppula on Tuesday was outstanding but didn't look all that dramatic or acrobatic because Bryz calmly tracked the puck and put himself in position where all he had to do was let the puck hit him. - OrangeBlack27
+1, he's noticeably better focused on where the puck is of late. |

Bryz is being treated no different than any other #1 goalie that will be heading into the playoffs. Why does Bob need games for? He is the backup and should maybe see two-three starts the rest of the year. Winning the division is something this team should shoot for. Win your divison and get home ice advantage thats the goal. I much rather be playing home than at Pittsburgh in the first round. Bryz is not going to be overworked. He plays much better when he gets to carry the load imo. - stveshdy
I'm going to side with you here, Mr. shdy. I keep riding the tiger at this point, Bryz is in the zone. I don't think the pursuit of the division will leave the Flyers drained come playoffs, right now is the perfect time to be firing on all cylinders. |

It's early to say but at least promising.
There were a couple of times last night where the Flyers were caught running around a bit in their own end. Manning ended up staying 'home' in the crease and made the right play.
HNIC guy (Healy?) said he has some snarl to his game which hasn't come out yet.
Anyway he has been solid in his first two games. - Marc D
He does. He fought a pretty fair amount in junior hockey. Knock on him as a junior player was a reputed lack of defensive and situational awareness. He's looked pretty good to me so far.

I'd be surprised if they went with Bob tonight. A big divisional game; makeshift defense and Bryz is playing well behind the D. Unless there is a physical issue, and fatigue shouldn't be one of them, I don't see any reason. Isn't this is one of the reasons the Flyers paid through through the nose for a "stud" goalie. Bryz is still young; if he were Brodeur's age then it might be a different story. There's still time to get Bob sharp. I'd hold him out until the Islanders game on Thursday. |

Homer has traded way so many draft picks but he's done a marvelous job finding college players and other free agents. |

Can anyone advise if Voracek should be back in the lineup on tuesday? Does he officially have a concussion or is it still precautionary? |

I know everyone hates the skills competition, but last nights's was just fantastic to watch. G's stupifing move coupled with
Bryz stoning Kessel yet again capping off his great play was just pure electrifying excitement. |

100% agreed. Also if Bryz keeps this up I don't think that we will keep paying a back up 1.75m after July 1. |

There's likely to be a return of the bonus cushion next year, which means his cap hit will drop. However, I wouldn't be surprised to see a move with Bob this summer, because there's a lot of good backups available in FA, who could be cheaper. |

I am hanging on to first place but Flyers play 4 games this week and my weekly roster move would be either Streit or Fowler for Voracek. I prefer Voracek but he is no good to me if he is not playing. Roster changes are mondays so maybe some news will break by tomorrow regarding his status. Thanks for your help. |

True but coke's formula is also a secret. Don't know the number of ingredients though. |

For me it has been full all season. I can keep my head up knowing I have been a shameless Bryz supporter all season long. - MBFlyerfan
I've been trying to get it through thick Ranger fan skulls that just as not everyone supported Bryz through this, not everyone was a Bryz hater. There's a big enough fanbase for multiple ways of thinking and dealing are present! |

Thomas and the Broons being owned today by the Pens.
Thomas just let up a terrible goal. Pens about to go on their second 5 on 3 in 2 minutes.

There is still a pretty vocal part of the fan base that still is not in Bryz's corner. Half a season told them all they want to know apparently.

Prefer the Pens lose but this really is a win/win if this doesn't go to OT. |
