You never with this coach Don't get me wrong I love Lavy but I haven't agreed with his handling of goalies until the past two weeks - JoeRussomanno
On this we can agree. I still think that the way Lavi handled Bryz in the first half contributed, in a small way, to the mindset of Bryzgalov. It might be a coincidence that when the team said they would ride Bryz the majority of the games things started to change. But I don't think so.
As I said earlier, get Bryz to 60 games. That will still be 8 games less than last season.

Then we are actually in agreement completely because I think 60 is the magic number no more no less. |

I guess the purposeful humiliation of Bryzgalov by so many Flyers fans using the same kinds of terms to describe basically the same circumstances is still too close to me at the moment. - MBFlyerfan
I was one of the fans who was highly critical of Bryz for reasons related to his play. I'm not one who boos the home team nor a WIP caller. Not sure if my criticism evolved into purposeful humiliation but I did refer to him as Moonbeam. Hope Bryz continues to play up to his expectations. My not caring for Thomas has nothing to do with his play; he's a fine goalie. |

You in the Ice Bar or Fire thingamahoochie? They're really good. And have fun. I was there and sat in the first row for the first time. It was really cool. |

Aren't they playing it on Briere's recommendation? Why don't they just make it HIS goal song then...sure as hell wouldn't get sick of a song you never hear.

If that is true all the more reason to get rid of it completely. But yea the way things are going I'd be lucky to hear it all if they did that |

A couple more Pens goals could be the Broons' bane.

Question: Assuming the Flyers get their D back and Bryz continues to do well, what would a Flyers-Bruins series look like? |

THe Flyers are actually a better road team so I would prefer not having home ice. They also do better in pitt than at home against. The goal isn't the division it's winning the cup. - JoeRussomanno
I rather have home ice during the playoffs when it matters most. The regular season stats mean absolutely nothing come playoff time. The cup is the goal but so is winning your division. You give yourself the best chance to succeed and thats winning your division first so you can play at home. Best possible road to the cup. |

IMO, it would be a close one. I don't think that Boston got lucky last year, but I think that the Flyers have been shooting themselves in the foot when it comes to playing the B's. |

Boston still is a good team but you are correct they are no longer invincible. They were playing better hockey earlier this season. |

The playoffs are different but you can't totally dismiss the fact a team is better at home then they are on the road. That can very easily carry over into the playoffs.
What tangible evidence do you have to suggest it will change? |

They were unbeatable for a month or so...they just look sloppy of late.
Like today, they seem to be doing themselves as much damage as the Pens are. |
