Just pointing out the sheer stupidity of teasing a team that has had 3 Stanley Cups for holding their parades in a parking lot when the Flyers haven't had a parade since the Ford administration.

The team certainly deserves the Stanley Cups they have earned. They also deserve a more fanatical fanbase. That's not the fault of the team.

I'd trade a fanatical fanbase for 3 Stanley Cups in the past 17 years in a heartbeat.

yes they won those three cups in the most boring way possible...the system they used was the clutch grab and trap. Not to mention they had one of the top goalies of all time brodeur....And if your star player managed to do anything then scott stevens would make sure to end his career... it was unbearable to watch.

I root for the Flyers. If I was interested in front running, I wouldn't have followed the Flyers closely and rooted for them in good times and bad for the past 30+ years. I wouldn't have defended Bryzgalov here when he was struggling, I would have be complaining about his contract. I wouldn't support Briere during his slump, I'd just ignore the fact that he averages more than a point per game in the playoffs and call him worthless.

Saying I'm jealous and respect what the Devils have done over the past 17 years is a lot different than rooting for them. Front runners are the morons that are using Bryzgalov avatars now and proclaiming their love for him when a month ago they were looking at using an amnesty buy out on him.

When you have a team that wins, and you can't get any support... its complete BS... Its insulting to the players, the team owners, and the entire NHL. I can understand why the Islanders cant fill a 50 year old arena with a team that hasnt made the playoffs but once in 15 years or whatever... But seriously... Your going to defend the Devil's lack of fans... Sure the few guys that are devils fans are good fans...I'm sure... But everyone else in that area could give 2 craps... Maybe they should higher the Jersey Shore cast and the Jerseylicious cast to come to games and get the GTL crowd to stop in....

Did they win three Stanley Cups? Are the Flyers Stanley Cups cheapened because they had the best goalie in the game and literally beat the living poop out of anyone on an opposing team that looked sideways at Bobby Clarke?

I'm not a fan of trapping hockey and sitting on a 2-1 lead for 40 minutes either, but that was the game back then. It was successful.

There are several teams allot worse off than NJ regarding fan bases. You are just lashing out at NJ, cause they happened to beat your team last night. If you are truly a crusader for the people and looking to dole out justice, go take a look at a Dallas Stars game, they habitually fall under 9k in attendance.
