I'm not going to say that I wasn't contimplating a trade, but at the time I was saying as far as getting a forward I would take Iginla if no-one else was available... You have to remember, that at that time our offense was struggling, our team was struggling, we had a lot of injuries, and we were lacking leadership...
- RooNosHockey

When has the Flyers offense struggled this year? They've been up in the top five scoring all season and I don't think leadership has been an issue all season. They miss Pronger sure but leadership is still there.

With the exception of a hand full of games, this team's offense hasn't really struggled. They've been one of the top offensive teams all Season. And they also haven't had a lack of leadership at any point either.

Bring 'em on. You want to be the best? BEAT the best.

I never said otherwise. They wanted me to do a list of such teams and that's what I came up with

“Apparently, there was a delayed penalty on them and I thought we took a penalty, so I tried to stir things up with (Claude) Giroux to try and even it up,” Boulton said. “We were getting the power play, but I thought we were going to be down. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have done that. It was a mistake on my part to do that.“Then, Hartnell came in to try to be tough when the refs were in there. The refs were already in, so that’s why he’s tough.”

I just know as much as I like Grossmann, I'm not buying his jersey any time soon. (Although, I think it would be fun to have it with the second en being velcroed on so you could have it either way.)

I think with the new look defense the Flyers are boasting Winnipeg shouldn't be a problem and thanks!

Final Fantasy 6's Kefka, actually. Not quite as old as Army of Darkness, but old enough I was surprised folks recognized it last night.

Spock will return someday, I felt the need for a little madness

Then Spock from "Amok Time" would be appropriate.

Hmm, check back after tax season. I may have something for you. Have you donated to the kickstarter yet?
- BulliesPhan87

Yep. Signed in and on last night. It's my 2nd kickstarter after the Order of the Stick campaign.

Was this when he took that stupid penalty at the end of the game? Bundy on the radio called him useless and to go sit back on the bench and eat his popcorn.

I think with St. Louis the Flyers would actually wear them down and score enough to win. Whereas the Blues don't put up enough offense to beat the Flyers.

The Flyers have beaten the Devils handily but that has been the case for the Devils against the Flyers too. If the FLyers don't bring their A game every game then they could end up in serious trouble in a series against them. However I had to put together a list so that's what I came up with.

As for Washington, I haven't seen anything but a bunch of uninspired play from them. IF the team from the first month of the season shows up yea they would be a threat but right now I'm sure the Flyers would mop them up.

Last night Ovie came alive, it seems. But that team has been a mess all year and Hunter doesn't seem to have stocked up on clues.

i love what he's done for coburn. in the past it seemed like coburn was looked upon to be the big, physical guy - at least when paired with kimo or when he played with one of the young guys. now he's with a guy that was truly meant to play that role - and plays it well. probly takes alot of pressure of coburn and lets him focus on his strengths - skating, passing etc.

grossmann is really so solid.

Who are the 4 that don't have a mean streak?
- MJL

No, I said 4 of our top 6 do. 4 have a mean streak and are big and strong. The 2 that don't are Carle and Kimmo.

Timonen has worked well with Gustafsson too (not just Carle), both last year and this year. Neither are physically dominant, but I'm not clenching glute muscles when they're on the ice like I was with the Krajicek/Parent pairing, either.
- Flyskippy

Kimmo works well with everyone. I'm not afraid of a Carle/Kimmo pair. I'm simply saying I think we'd be better served if they split up when Kubina and Mez come back.

I just don't think they are a complete enough team to beat the Flyers either. Seems like they lack some fortitude and like the Flyers before the deadline, weak on the back-end.
