Ummm not to speculate or to get 90% of you to get boners... but Im hearing that Luongo's off ice problems have intensified. I'm not sure if any of you remember but earlier in the year there were rumors that Luongo cheated on his wife and that their marriage was rocky. They had a mini split but they're back together and apparently she wants him to be close to her but she wont move here. Also there were rumors that the Canucks had preliminary talks with at least two teams on a deal to send him closer to home. Most likely Tampa was one of them. Has anyone else heard this stuff?
- Boinker

...he said speculating.... Must be a slow week for this fiction to come up. What next: Luongo is really a woman and that's why he's so emotional?

Where is the pray smiley? Please, please, please be true. You all realize Schneider should be playing in the playoffs if this is true and it may very well be as Luongo seems to be starting to let in his softy goals as the playoffs are right around the corner. I guess we'll see how he does in these last handful of games.

Get a grip, it might very well be true? Then why has nobody heard anything about it. Radio, newspapers, TV. The only guy who knows all about Luongo's private life is a poster on hockeybuzz. Please. Maybe we could ask him why the Sedins are slumping as well. I heard they were spending some time late at night down at the horse track. Gillis was shopping them before the deadline and offers were made but the asking price was Crosby and Malkin. I can confirm it.

I heard about these rumors a looong time ago. Back when Luongo was lights out... I happen to believe them, because he turned to sh!t once his wife came to town.

I would do that deal but Pitts would have to throw in a pick or two because of Cindy's mushy head.

Where's the pray smiley? Please, please, please be true. The Sedins haven't done sh!t for almost a dozen games now and now that the playoffs are right around the corner they are starting to play soft as Europeans do in the playoffs. All of this could be true with all the money the Sedin's make I bet they are gambling it away and throwing games to appease their gambling addiction.

The Sedins soft European play that has seen them be point per game players in the playoffs over the last few years? Good idea. Trade away the last 2 Art Ross winners because they haven't scored in 8 or 9 games. If only you were the GM.

Concussion jokes are like riot jokes, they never get old.
Crosby's "mushy head" still thinks the game better than anyone the Canucks have ever had.

Fact: Hockeybuzz forums are the most reliable source of hockey information on the web. If posters here heard it, it's GOTTA be true.

Without diminishing how good Crosby is (when he plays), not really. I'll give you one of many, many examples. There's a current Canucks player who is not nearly as good a player as Crosby who has one of the best hockey minds around, much more well-rounded than Crosby's -- Burrows.

I agree that concussion jokes are not funny in any real way.

Why does everything with you have to be Luongo VS Schneider? This has nothing to do with Schneider... These rumors were a hot topic a few years ago.

Trade Raymond

Play Schneider

Take it easy dude I was just messing around...where's the sarcasm smiley when you need it? The only thing I'm serious about is playing Schneider for the playoffs because if they don't the Canucks and us fans are screwed.

Well, to each his own. I think a big part of what makes Crosby so good is how he thinks the game. Knows where to go and when to go there on the ice. Not sure how Burrows thinks the game better than Crosby. Any examples?

Take it easy. I think Crosby will be ok even if he doesn't play hockey again. Who are you? Why are you acting so defensive? Are you his girlfriend? He's not dieing from a concussion. We've all had one or two in our time and continue to lead productive lives. Take your politically correct hump, stick it in your pocket, and loosen up.

I'm a Pens fan defending Crosby. Very clever of you to call me his girlfriend because I defend him.
Just saying it's not very responsible to poke fun of people with serious head injuries.

Thanks for you vote of confidence but please don't place your bets simply on my opinion as this is a hockey blog and after all most posts are just opinions and I was giving mine. So here we go since you asked so nicely: If Schneider is in net Canucks get their 1st Cup this year. If not Schneider I'll go with the Predators unless Luongo gets his head on straight. Your in a feisty mood today...take it easy you savage.

If gillis can sign schneider for 5 years at say 3.5 to 4 mill then the only reason not to trade lu is because he doesnt want to be traded. Tampa is an easy fix. If you look that we have allready given him 10 mil or whatever and his cap hit is 5.3 teams that want to get to the cap floor are perfect candidates as his hit remains around 5 but eventually he wont make more than 3

Lu for a freaking dman please

Serious head injury? Are you kidding me! I have a friend who got a serious head injury on a construction site and now he can't tie his own shoes. A hydraulic nail gun fell off the scaffolding, fell four stories, and basically carved off half his melon.
Crosby's head injury prevents him from being the best hockey player in the world. It doesn't stop him from being himself or able to lead a "normal" life. Your definition of serious head injury is comical at best.

I guess I know more gold digging whores than the average guy, so I didn't think twice about it.

As far as why they were never reported? 99% of these things go unreported... The media won't touch it, and the girl will stay silent either because she's being financially taken care of, or manipulated emotionally into being a loyal "side-chick".

Repeated concussions are pretty serious if you ask me. I think guys like Primeau and Lindros would agree. Still getting dizzy spells, not being about to be out in the sun. Sounds serious to me. Tragic about your buddy, but just because it's not worst case scenario it doesn't mean concussions aren't serious. A lot of recent research will tell you that. Some good articles online about how life altering concussions can be. I can send you some if you want to give them a read.

Guess I am just naive. I would think if a team like Detroit had a bunch of cheating, dirty guys on their team Mike Holland and Babcock would deal with it severely. Too bad it's OK or ignored on the Canucks.
