I've never heard he asked for a trade ...I just heard his wife wasn't happy with him. Don't you find it kind of strange that a player has played in a city for six years and has another 10 to go and hasn't spent a season in that city with him. She obviously doesn't like him playing here and loves her home in Florida and if what I've heard has a little truth to it than, let's just say don't be surprised if Luongo is in a Lightning jersey next year. I'll stop now......jeez sorry I even brought it up.... I figured I'd create a healthy debate.

Yes, there has been no debate previously on the topic of Canuck goaltending. Thank goodness we have some hearsay to really get it going.

What about the idea of trying Booth with the Sedins? He's a crash the net, bury the garbage kind of guy. He might be able to Trent Klatt their way out of the slump.

Concussions are pretty serious as recent research is proving. Bloated Mosquito was making fun and insulting those who have suffered from them before and saying they aren't serious. I found it to be in poor taste as we are finally realizing how serious the effects of concussions are. Guess he didn't agree.
- woopstash

They're serious, but it comes with the territory. All sports involve some longterm risk that'll impact quality of life. Having brain damage is obviously worse than having a (frank)ed up knee... But the game shouldn't change... The level of respect among players should. The NHLPA needs to step up and educate their members... Not leave it up to Bettman or some other non-athlete suit to take fighting and hitting out of the game.

Also, not for a second do I subscribe to the theory that concussions were somehow related to the Boogaard/Rypper/Belak tragedies of this past offseason. The media's overreaction in making that connection was due to the Crosby situation. I also think that guys like Jeff Skinner were shelved longer than need-be this season due to similar overreactions. The Crosby misdiagnosis has led to a league wide tendency to act like concussions are all of a sudden more dangerous than they were 2 years ago.

Whoopstash...all you do is go out of your way to start conflict. All over this thread we can see how you are exaggerating everything everyone says to argue. It's the same when ever you show up. You are in my face about *other* crap as usual.

The fights you instigate only make threads a headache for the mods.

I'd rather see Kassian get a regular shift there first.

I thought the same thing when Booth first showed up to Vancouver. Interesting how AV will try Bitz and even Raymond on the Sedin line but not Booth. He clearly loves what he sees of him on the Kesler line. Plus they're the only line that's clicking right now.

I completely agree with the library atmosphere comment at home games. My personal opinion is that ticket prices out price mostly all passionate enthusiasts.

I used to love buying tickets when the Canucks stunk. $100 got you the top ticket in the house for a Saturday game.

I've been saying this for quite a while now. Our crowds are pathetic... I don't even bother going to games anymore unless I'm sitting in a suite. If I'm going to be the only one in my section making noise, I want free beer and a washroom with no line-ups.

Not trolling although I am sure that I will get attacked, but who the hell is this Sulzer guy? Has he been the best player in the trade so far? I am not sure how MAG has been doing....

What about putting Malhotra with the Sedins?

AV is a moron, only guy that should play with them is Burrows. I'm looking forward to proving everyone wrong when AV is fired this year.

Mag is looking better every game actually... I think they were using him above his ability for the first couple of games but since then he's calmed down and looked quite smooth out there. I thought there was going to be trouble keeping a leash on him and his roaming but he seems to be figuring out just fine.

How was that for an attack?

Thanks Booner. Mods said I hadn't done anything wrong when I asked them, but thanks. Reminds me of my older brother trying to act like my old man. "Dad's gonna be mad at you and not me!"
All I've done is had opinions. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that the point of this site? I guess we could all agree on everything, but something tells me that would be a tad boring. I guess I was naive about hockey players and cheating on their wives so it was saddening to hear about the truth. Not once did I say that it is "franchise changing." You have me confused with someone else. Only reason I get in your face is because you always seem to be bullying people here into agreeing with you.

Bullying people? You just outright attack people for their hockey opinions all the time. I don't ever do that.

We(meaning more than just me) were talking about these rumours being a little much. Excuse me...

Glad you ran to the mods...and what are you accusing me of again? unreal...

Can we just assume that you two will go back and forth for a page or two and argue about why you're both right and wrong and in the end one of you goes to bed before the other and it's over.

Let's just pretend that time has happened and not actually do it.

That's seriously how it was at the Winnipeg game for large parts of the game. The Peggers were definitely louder.

Then again, the way they've been playing lately, it Bieksa thinks he deserved a solitary clap against MTL he can kiss Vancouver's collective @ss.
