I'll always picture skip as an Amish briere - funmaster18
If I ever find a way of making an EGA gif of my Amish Danny Briere pic, I'll be set. Of course, it will have to move a little like the great EA games of the 1980's.

I'd say that one was out of his hands considering Boucher left the playoffs with an injury, which was the only reason Leighton got a start. - funmaster18
Didn't they enter the playoffs with an injured Leighton, too? High ankle sprain, if I remember correctly.

poor rotty - Crimsoninja
YEa right he's a maniac when i take that thing off. Had about dozen or so dogs through my life. He was the first one that got me to break down and take to a trainer and that was the first thing they slapped on him. Got his butt in line within like 10 minutes.

Skip I know your a "huge" basketball fan who do you have winning the NCAA Mens Basketball Tournament?
09-10 didnt Boucher get hurt against the Devils? He really didnt have a choice but to play Leighton, IIRC. - stveshdy
Conversely, Leighton got hurt during the stretch drive and Lavi didn't have a choice but to play Boosh the rest of the way until Leighton came back in the Boston series.
Leighton's just-recently healed leg and hurt back sunk the team in the Final. Folks often forget how Leighton helped shore up the goalie position leading to the surge that got them into the position of being able to get a playoff position with just 2 points in their last two games. Boosh got them there in Leighton's absence before Leighton took over in the Boston series when he probably could have used more rest to fully heal.
It's awfully short-sighted of the fans in this city to continually rip Leighton for the SCF loss. Without Leighton, they might not have made the playoffs - and certainly don't beat Boston or shut out Montreal three times in five games in the ECF's.
That said, I still can't believe the Flyers couldn't beat Niemi more often...

I think Leighton and Boosh were interchangeble really skip. A healthy pronger made those two look good and I can only imagine what he'd be doing for Bryzgalov right now.

No idea. I only ever root for Seton Hall. My coworker keeps talking to me about the tournament and it's like we're discussing a Chinese operator's manual on farm equipment.
Prediction: You'll have to tell him who's in the tournament, first. - BulliesPhan87
Whenever I have ever done a bracket, for the Final Four, I stick to the K's: Kansas, Kentucky, and Mike "Where are all the S's in my name?" Krzyzewski.

This should be the Flyers new goal song discuss
- JoeRussomanno
Getting closer. No offense to Seek and Destroy, but it has more of a "team is taking the ice" feel than "goal song". The key is a good, celebratory feeling chorus.

I think Leighton is a capable back up goalie in the NHL. Said that this summer as well. Not good enough to start but not bad to use 20-25 games a year.

Heh. He got hurt in the Boston series too, hence the offseason surgery in the summer of 2010. The team still got three zeroes in the ECF's.

I couldn't name any non-Philadelphia based entrants, so you've got me beat. I've never filled out a bracket.
