Habs fans don't want him back because he betrayed them. He doesn't really make the team any better.
Kaberle might love to finish his career in Toronto, but I don't see where he fits in the grand scheme of things... I guess he'd be good at mentoring the young dmen to as irresponsible defensively as he is?
If you want an overpaid, lazy, soft offensive defenseman, Sergei Gonchar might be available this offseason - Mr_Clean
Komisarek left Montreal because he didn't want to play here anymore.
Why would he waive his NTC for Montreal anyway?

The fact that you can compare a guy who's played what 50 games in this league to a veteran defenseman.
Emelin is a rookie. Komisarek is not. - thomas81
That only says that Komi has had more time to display his superiority, wich he didnt.

Actually, I was a big fan of him and kinda upset that he didn't resign in MTL, now I'm quite happy where he is. If he's so great, why would you want to part with him? - pete26
I don't, really. I was just a big fan of Kaberle. I'd love to see him back here but obviously he's not worth the money he's making.
To rid yourself of a bad contract, you have to take on another. Most of the times, both players enjoy the change.

...And then there's that
(Always forget about that NTC... It's amazing how GMs give them away to any half-decent player nowadays

I have never thought of that fight as a beat down. Lucic definetely won the fight but it wasnt like Komisarek didnt get any shots in.
