If this team wants to improve, Gomez has to go, either a buyout as part of the next CBA or he goes to Hamilton. Habs need the full 7.5M of cap space to imrpove this team. - Symba007
... except there isn't much out there to spend money on. I say the same thing to Leafs fans who want us to bury all our bad salary... Is it better to spend big dollars on a mediocre overpaid FA?
Note to Burke, et al, There are NO quick fixes.

I guess it will depend on who they bring in to turn it around GM wise. They need some leadership from the mgmt. Other than Subban getting reamed by LaDouceur, tonights ripping by Cunney on Campoli is the the first real emotion I've seen from the bench in MTL in a long time. - Pie
They should be fine, get a good draft pick thin out the deadbeats and reload |

Yes because they (with Price) allowed 1 goal through regulation.
But yes, they do need d, maybe not exemplified by this game. - blarneylad
Three posts and all those give aways, also Price, they were very (frank)ing lucky tonight, very (frank)ing lucky... |

They need some secondary scoring badly. It pretty much trails off after Pleks. Markov is a shame because he could help settle that D down substantially and we'd see one less of Weber or Campoli and thats not a bad thing. |

They'll probably need some of that cash for Price and Pacioretty and could do with a 1 or 2dman |

They won't resign Campoli Pie, he was a patch for the roof, not good enough to cover the hole either. |

I get that, take him out and stick Kaberle in there instead. The point is more that this D gets hemmed in way to often and need a guy like Markov to help settle it down move the puck out and get the Offense going. |

Ya major injuries play a part Markov's is (frank)ed but when they are the size they are, Gionta, etc, it should be expected. Its one of the reasons I don't see Desharnais standing up to the wear and tear of 2-3 or 4 years at that pace. |

Christ, can you imagine Semin trying to Bongo Lucic 6 times a year. Your not far off though they do need someone to play with Pleks. |

Broken record, I know, they need a 30 minute d, and a big 1st center. |

The two hardest things to aquire that and a top flight goalie is the third .at least you have one of the three |
