Prefer Barret Jackman, Brad stuart? - Symba007
No to Jackman... All over Stuart if there's even a chance of signing him. I doubt the wings are gonna let him walk though. |

As far as I'm concerned, Habs need a whole 1st line, and two absolutely nasty dmen.
They get that done, get Plekanec on another team, park Gomez and buy out Kaberle, draft in the top 5, and voila... it's an ffffn miracle. - EricEngels

Will Geoff Molson be willing to park Gomez's salary in the minors? If he is, does anyone really think he'll add Kaberle's to the mix, and pay more than 12 million to have these two in rotting in Hamilton for another two seasons? - EricEngels
I think it's fair to assume the Habs aren't going to be any good next year.
One big mess. |

A lot of decent to good young NHL-ready players backed up by a poopload of overpaid underachieving veterans.
(frank)in' recipe for success right there. |

Who cares. Pacioretty, Subban, Price = not impressive - Jayden
That's a very good start. Price is going to be a star. I like Pacioretty, I just don't know if he is a top 3 forward calibre player, defiantly top 6. Subban will be an average overall d-man who can play in a lot of situations. I even like DD. But he'll never be more than a 2nd line centre. After that, your "up and comers" are thin. And you guys have loads of ugly contracts. To think you are going to do a complete 180 sooner rather than later is foolish. |

I think it's fair to assume that this is something nobody knows, and we will need to wait to find out. That said, we thank you for your participation in our forum. When you go back to your thread, please tell weirdoh to (frank) off. |

We'll take Kaberle and a pick/prospect for Komisarek.
I would think most of you would want him back now that Markov is back. |

Did you think the Sens would turn it around as quickly as they did?
As for Patch, if he scores 30 goals every year, I'd consider him top 3. We will have to wait and see.
Subban average? That just means you don't watch him enough.
Agreed on DD, but every team needs a second line center. The contracts will hopefully be taken care of sooner rather than later, but you're right in saying they are an albatross. |

It will depend heavily on what can be done with the nasty contracts. That is what we don't know. |
