The Hockey News has just released it’s latest annual edition of Future Watch. It ranks the top 50 prospects in the NHL as well as the top ten for each individual team. It has it’s limitations as I think the writing is completed around Christmas.
Habs in the top 50 – Beaulieu (33rd), Leblanc (47th) and Tinordi (50th).
Montreal’s top ten prospects – Beaulieu, Leblanc, Tinordi, Gallagher, Palushaj, Bournival, Engqvist, Avtsin, Kristo and Holland. I find it interesting that if you include White, Montreal has 6 natural RWs who will be trying to win the two (or three) open spots after Cole and Gionta. I also find it strange that Morgan Ellis didn’t make the list. BTW, Blake Geoffrion was listed #4 on Nahsville’s top ten. I would place him around 5th on Montreal’s list.
NHL’s overall top ten – Kuznetsov, Granlund, Huberdeau, Doug Hamilton, Zibanejad, Taresenko, Scheifele, Markstrom, Strome and Gormley.
Justin Schultz, a possible 21 year old UFA on July 1st, is ranked 21st overal |

Might the best thing to happen though, Habs get a high pick, team has no choice but to move Gomez...PG should be shown the door. |

so I had to do the annual thing this yesterday...
every (frank)ing year, on the first nice day of the year my dad tells me to come over, he needs my help "for 15 minutes".
I always know exactly where it's going. Every year we do the same (frank)ing thing.
we go out back to his (frank)ing cabanon from hell, take every single items out so he can throw out what he doesn't want. Naturally he thinks everything will come in handy one day so we end up putting every single (frank)ing thing back in the exact same place...
every.. (frank)ing... year... |

The team needs a GM...and most of the potential candidates are under contract. I would expect, if he is fired, that it will be after the playoffs are done. Timmins will run the draft anyway. |

he has like 20 of those big green tarps. they were perfectly clean but we opened each one, sprayed it, hung it on the clothesline and then folded it back.
this is the first summer where he's completely retired. I expect many more of these assignments. |

I will bet you he's back next year. I have a bad feeling about this whole thing. |
