I will wait til the playoffs, You can say the same about JVR..Should we write JVR off b/c of his poor play? I say this should die until a later date. This convo seems to go around in circles. I am looking forward to the Pens game tomorrow. - bigmookalookie
Briere has proven that he is a playoff player. His stats prove that arguement. Its fact. I'm not willing to say he wont produce in the playoffs bc of his poor regular season. I'm sure their are players who have had a sub-par year and produce in the playoffs. |

Manning was scratched tonight and is on his way to Philly, so reading the tea leaves gives us the idea he is in and Lilja out tomorrow (or at least they are concerned that may be the case). Nothing said about Max. |

At the rate the Flyers are going they might need to get a forward to play D like they did with Kappanen back in the day. |

Sure he needs to do more but he was a big part of both goals today but not one person has said that y cause he didn't score?? He does need to produce but people callin him useless is absurd - Slammed81
Actually he is useless. He is afraid of everyone and doesnt do anything. |

Until he doesnt play well in the playoffs its hard to think he wont. - stveshdy
You think he will magically turn from ECHL caliber type to NHL playoff beast? I have a hard time believing |

Well sure. It's easier being negative, because if you're proven wrong no one gives a crap; they'll be too busy being happy with the results. Takes more balls to be optimistic. Mostly because it flies in the face of the standard stance of the average go-with-the-flow fan. |

You're exagerating on Bryzgalov and Richards and Carter have as much to do with my evaluation of Briere more so than the goalie. Comparing Briere to Bryzgalov is apples and oranges.
If you say he's struggling that's fine but tell me this: when does struggling become decline? As far as I'm concerned a one dimensional player like Briere can hit decline fast and hard. - JoeRussomanno
When your save percentage is well under 900 for most of the Season, there is no exaggeration.
