Just what the doctor ordered for the Bruins, an afternoon game against the Flyers. Why is this team so bad in these games?

What happened on the first goal? I saw the second, poor coverage right infront of the net with players getting beat flat footed and less then ideal puck handling by Bryz.

Scheen has looked alright and Simmonds throwing his body around...just looking for the silver-lining.

grossman was there, but he let kelley get a step on him and didn't tie him up enough.

Another horrible afternoon game. It defies explanation.

- Not winning puck battles,
- Zero puck support (leading to what seemed like a dozen icing calls),
- Horrible defensive coverage (Grossmann let Kelly beat him on the first goal, and I don't know what the (frank) Carle and Gus were thinking on Seguin's goal - that whole play was a mess.)
- No forecheck (Bruins getting out of their zone with ease)
- Standing around on the PP, no movement, no passing, and worse yet, no shots.

I hope Lava is trying to wake them up in the locker room. They needs something.

Worst of all though, for some stupid reason NHL network is using the Boston announcers for this game so I'm stuck listening to Edwards and Brickley jerk each other off all afternoon.

their opponents are always nyr, boston, pittsburgh and the like. i'm sure that has SOMETHING to do with it, but not everything. i get the feeling they'd be just as bad against a bottom feeder from either conference. they're just not prepared to play. every. single. time.

the pp is becoming very concerning to me. not getting a lot of opportunities, and the ones they do get they look awful.
