He seemed to be thinking fairly clearly on the bench

You saw him thinking fairly clearly?

So Keith should get 8 games and Daniel's hit was just a good hockey play......

Also comparing the elbow to what Bertuzzi did is ridiculously blowing things out of proportion. Keith's hit was stupid and retaliatory no doubt, but he should get four games tops with one game for Daniel or at least a fine.

I liked Tessier better as the nucks' blogger, he was far more unbiased.

I just stopped reading after you put the Bertuzzi and Keith plays in the same sentence. I know Vancouver fans are good fans and good people but you are just adding to the stereotype the BC fans are whiners and homers.

If your team wasn't full of Big mouths that don't stand up for them selfs maybe that hit doesn't happen. Maybe if Burrows or Lapierre drop the gloves early that hit doesn't happen. That whole game you could feel the tension building. Let the tough guys throw down , clear the air and move forward. This tough guy attitude that the nucks show is pathetic cause no one follows through. just a bunch of (frank)en Mouth Cases and nothing enrages people more than a mouth case that doesn't back up his words.

Daniel's hit wasn't a hockey hit, any hit to the head, intentional or unintentional (where the shoulder rises up accidentally) needs to be taken out of the game. Daniel's hit was a penalty, it was slightly late, from behind and the shoulder made contact with the head and under the headshot rule, it should be a penalty and no call was made. If Daniel gets 2 minutes there (which it deserves seeing as there was no injury or intent to injure), that elbow never happens. I'm not defending Keith here, but to say that Daniel's hit was clean and then on the same hand slamming Keith is just super homerism. I don't think there will be any suspensions here, Daniel made it to the bench on his own power, looked fairly alert and answered questions from the trainers. I think they kept him out of the rest of the game for his own protection seeing as it got out of control after that. Keith might get a warning and a fine, but he's not getting a suspension since he's a) The Blackhawks #1 D-man b) Not a repeat offender c) Did not get called for a 5 minute major and d) The Blackhawks are in a race for home ice in the playoffs. All these factors will mitigate any suspension that might be coming Keith's way. Either way, maybe it's time to start taking hitting out of the game and going the NFL route where supplemental discipline is harsh.

argue the severity of the hit and the suspension deserved all you want. who really cares.

the important thing is the hit on d-sedin galvanized the team. it could turn out to be the tsn turning point of the last stretch of the season and into the playoffs.

thanks d-keith.

Who are they going to drop the gloves with?
Lapierre has fought 7 times this year... no one on Chicago would take him on.

You are acting a bit childish going off like that. Do you think anyone here will take you seriously by babbling about nucks, (frank)en, mouth cases, back up words, them selfs, big mouths.

It should be noted that Ian is actually from Calgary.

Not to put words in his mouth, but I don't think he was comparing the actual plays or results, just the frontier justice mentality. The NHL still hasn't progressed in the respect that players not liking a hit on a previous play have no faith that the officials or league will administer appropriate justice, so they go out and seek to injure the other player to settle the score. What Keith did was set out to injure his opponent. If that wasn't his intent he would have hit Sedin's chest with his shoulder. But that's not what he did, was it?

If you are going to have hair like that, you've got to expect it to be pulled. That's pretty pathetic having that hair style.
