Not sure why the refs feel they have to even something like that up? There was no slash, and the whistle hadn't blown, so Burrows is well within the rules to go for the puck. Just a BS post-whistle check from Morrow. |

Amazing what can happen when AV grows a pair and sits one of his favorites who has been struggling for half a season.

What a call on tha Burrows slash. I hope Lehtonen is ok. If that's a penalty, then guys would be going to the box after every whistle. Embarrassing. |

Yeh the puck was visible so why wouldn't he go after it. Reputation call I guess. |

Radulov scored - VANTEL
Didn't he request Radulov to be pronounced Radlelov a few years ago? All the announcers still calling him Radulov. |

Maybe that is why he went to the KHL. |

I said last night four games and that will be it. While I agree that Ian got a bit carried away. To even compare sedins hit to Keith's is worse then his thoughts on it. The puck was there on danials hit. What Keith did is ni different then skating up and sucker punching a guy off the face off. The other reason I believe that the hawks in interviews were calling it a nice hit. |

Lots of soft calls tonight. I'd say Kesler embellished that a little, but hey, lots of soft calls against the Canucks... |

Until I looked at a better angle, I saw the puck and Daniel looking like he got up a bit to bat it down on the high angle, when they showed the ice cam I saw I was wrong. |

If I am the NHLPA I would certainly want a system in place that can more efficiently monitor the accuracy of officials or at least deal with the problem of refs with personal vendettas. Currently, from what I understand, the only real incentive is reffing in the playoffs, but I would be interested to see a system were refs can also be fined for missed calls, or missed calls on plays that lead to suspensions, etc. It should be a privilege to officiate an NHL game. |

The change that's needed is getting rid of Bowness. Put someone in charge of the D who understands the importance of chemistry and continuity... |
