Regardless of the length of Keith's suspension, it won't be enough to satisfy Canucks fans ESPECIALLY if Sedin's injury turns out to be serious.

Personally, I don't think any suspension should be handed out until the extent of Sedin's injuries have been determined and disclosed with the help of a third party or NHL representitive.

Here's hoping Sedin is alright.

Personally I don't care what Keith gets, two games or eight games...whatever. It won't help us if Daniel's out for any length of time, as you mentioned. Dreger tweeted that Daniel's not doing good at all, not sure how he'd know? But it doesn't sound good!

Pretty interesting that you're not spitting venom at Keith like the other 99.99% of Canucks fans... And rightfully so!

People have mentioned a "broken jaw" and/or "concussion," I would SHOCKED if it wasn't a concussion considering the speed and force of impact. If that's the case, Sedin is likely done for the season.

It was a cheap shot direct blow to the head. What more can be said, even the Chicago fans say so. Most anyways. Regardless of why he was mad or angry, those types of hits have to be gone from the game.

How quickly VAN fans forget about the unpunished head-shot Brent Seabrook took from Torres in the playoffs last year.
- acmidd28

Principal point of contact on that hit was clean, but his head did take a big blow.

Why wouldn't Canucks fans be "spitting venom" at Keith? The guy deliberately took out their best player with a dirty and viscous elbow. Makes sense that they'd be upset, does it not?

I'll take head shots all day before knee's to the groin..

Making babies is more fun then thinking about it!

I'm guessing you won't have to worry about that anytime soon.

For sure.

You can bet that the Hawks will be comparing Keith's hit to the Torres/Seabrook hit or more recently the Doan/Benn hit. While on the other hand, the Canucks will be using the Rome/Horton hit, as well as the Wisniewski/Clutterbuck hit earlier this season as examples.

Of course it makes sense. EVERY fan base would be pissed off if it happened to one of their players. I don't blame Canucks fans one bit!

Reread my post. I was commenting on the fact that LeftCoaster could care less about Keith's suspension, but is more concerned about Sedin's health.

I'm not gonna' read the first 22 pages of this blog, and then comment on the Canucks play lately.....so....I was yacking with a buddy and said "I certainly hope one of the Sedins lay someone out soon or in the playoffs, because I remember a long time ago Pavel Bure lying out a Dallas tough guy...can't remember his name , and it changed the series"
Good for the Canucks showing some "Grit"....nice work boys

As per Yahoo!/Rotowire...

"Thu, Mar 22

Sedin has been diagnosed with a concussion and is expected to miss at least two weeks, Renaud P. Lavoie reports.

Recommendation: Concussions can be tricky, so there's no telling exactly how long Sedin will be out, but owners should be prepared for him to be sidelined for at least two weeks. With the playoffs under way for many leagues, owners in redraft leagues should explore other options on the waiver wire.

We have ourselves a troll.

Shanaban will come down harder than most expected. I initially thought 5 games, but am now thinking rest of the season + 1 or 2 playoff games.

That would really be bringing down the hammer.

Go into the Hawks thread, they think Sedin should be suspended just as long as Keith for his check.

I was actually impressed on the level of conversation. There were some strong dissagreements and points where it could've got ugly but it stayed decent for the most part.

Once they announce Keith's suspension, there will be a whole lot more butt-hurt. I guarantee it. Especially since Sedin, shockingly, isn't being called to the carpet.
