Yeah it sucked, but I wasn't planning on making hockey my career, I knew even if I hadn't gotten injured that I wasn't getting drafted. At best I'd be a 5-6 D-man on an ECHL roster (if that) had I been able to continue.

It must be hard for Blackhawks fans to wake up this morning to the realization Duncan Keith is everything they perceive Burrows to be and more.

It must also be hard to have the fans league wide laughing at their refusals to man up last night. #exposedforwhattheyreallyare

Hey guys, I myself can't believe what a joke league this has become. I grew up with this sport and I just cant understand why bettman is doing what hes doing. leave the hit aside for now. This must be the only league on the planet where the officiating changes 3/4 of the way through the year and in the playoffs. Is it me or have the refs all of a sudden gone back to pre lock out rules. Either one of two things is happening. The teams all play almost perfect hockey every game OR the refs are calling the games a lot different than the start of the year. I don't think there is a league in the world that screams FIXED more than the NHL unfortunately. Now for the hit. Daniel sedins hit easy 2 minute penalty it was high and slightly late, maybe even a 1 game suspention. Keiths was absolutely vicious. Im my opinion maybe dont start with keithe this year but next next thats a 40 game suspention. Take a page out of NFL roger goodells book and give real suspentions so these f'in idiots play with more respect. If somebody gives someone an elbow on purpose it should be a half season. if they do it again a full season and one more time theyre out. Now u may have daniel out. we lost crosby for almost 2 years, toews, backstrom and on and on and on. Why the hell dont they just get rid of them with real suspentions. Also if anyone was watching last years playoffs. Aaron rome got 4 games in the stanley cup finals for something way way way way less dirty than that at the most important time of the year. To see keith walk away with anything less is unacceptable

The 70's was outlaw hockey. Guys had crazy hair and no helmets and hair pulling was the norm.

The "Burrows is a hair puller" fall back position is only mentioned by half-wits who need to link their self-esteem to the percieved higher moral standards of their favourite hockey team

As an outsider on this, and after watching both hits, i believe Keith should get 3-4 games and Sedin should get 1-2. To say Sedin's hit was fine is ridiculous. Both were bad hits, with Keith's being worse. Knowing Shanaban, Keith will get 2 and Sedin will get nothing.
