Add this to him kicking Hansen's feet out after Seabrook went down in the playoffs.

I see a pattern - Keith gets hissy, then gets cheap, then becomes a turtle.

Perfect recipe to take advantge of in the playoffs. He easily loses his composure.

Sedin, while he didn't leave his feet, clearly lunges upward in a deliberate attempt to hit Keith high. The initial point of contact was not the head, but the principle (main) point of contact most definitely was. When you come in at head level (Keith didn't lower his head into Sedin's shoulder) it's hard to argue that he didn't "target" the head. Not a good hockey play. Not a textbook hit. Not just finishing a check.

Now, that said Keith's response was BS too. If I'm Shanny I give Keith 2-3 and a big (really big) fine, and I give sedin either 1 game or a modest fine.

I'm gonna have to agree with this, Daniel came in laterally and hit Duncan high. That's a dangerous hit IMO, I don't think he had any malicious intent. Never the less if he hits Duncan in the jaw he could have concussed him.

I agree on the Keith retalitory hit, blatant attempt to target the head. If he gets two I'll be ok with that. Daniel should get a fine.

been waiting 12 years to see it. I hope he brings it like that in the playoffs.

As for the he needs to be suspended for it group, is there really a point in suspending a guy who isn't going to play tonight because he's hurt?

I witnessed Daniel and Raymond finish a check last night. 2 things I thought would never get crossed off my bucket list.

What a joke this article is... The Canucks are one of the dirtiest teams in the league. That's why no one sympathizes with you when your players get hurt.

Let's look what happened before Sedin got hurt:

-Edler runs Shaw from behind.
-Sedin, from the blind side catches Keith clearly in the jaw with a shoulder check. The puck is long gone, and his brother Henrik was closer to Keith at the time.

Then Keith retaliates.. but at least he went at him from the front. If I saw somebody coming at me like that, I'd definitely brace myself.

Not to say Keith's hit wasn't dirty either, but if you're going to give those dirty shots you have to be prepared to take them.

Then after this, you have Burrows SHOWING DELIBERATE INTENT to injure a player by delivering a sucker punch to Patrick Kane. He should be suspended too, because he is a REPEAT offender.

WAH WAH WAH.

My bet is Sedin will come back after Shanahan hands out his fines and suspensions. Still after that, the Canucks will still whine and cry that it should have been more severe.

as an avs fan, you guys will rarely get any sympathy from me. that being said, that hit was total bs. seriously... i rarely voice my opinions about these things, and i hope that shanny throws the freakin' book at him. this is EXACTLY the kind of thing the nhl needs to man up and ACTUALLY try to eliminate. and i like duncan keith...
