The Long Goodbye is sort of weird. Not bad at all, but it's got a different vibe to the earlier movies...Elliot Gould isn't Bogie, ya know? - Jsaquella
yea that would be weird

Definitely going to stiffen up over the next day or two, but it should be fine if X-rays are negative. As long as they stay healthy there is no point to stress about 1 loss at this point, having clinched. Get after the Leafs Thursday and keep rolling. - Flyers1218
Yep, treat it, keep him off it as much as possible, Bob can get a couple games in and then Bryz hopefully will be ready to go for the Pens-Rangers-Pens gauntlet |

No idea if it's been made into a movie. The radio version I heard was British. |

The Flyers had 81 shot attempts; Tampa had 29. It happens (see: Florida). Gotta take better care of the puck. They made were getting away with some ugly turnovers against the Caps last week and though I only saw the highlights, seemed like there was plenty of puck sloppiness against the Habs, as well. |

I purposely stayed away from here after the game last night because I knew what was going to happen. There'd be ridiculous comments that Carle is mistake prone, stinks, blah, blah, blah, from the Carle bashers. Carle made a rare mistake. It happens. I remember the game a few years ago where Timonen passed the puck back into his own open net. It was a game of mistakes for the Flyers. How many breakaways did they give up?
Here's the bottom line for me. The effort the Flyers gave was top notch. The crushed TB in puck battles. And I know that if they play that way every game. Outcomes like last night are an anomaly. And more times then not the Flyers will win games playing like they did last night. Game's over. On to the next game. |

Today will be great, we all know who will be blamed, on a never ending loop of stupid. One bad game will define a career, because we need a guy to blame.

I agree.. but admit how terrible of a mistake that Carle blunder was. I wanted to poke him in the eye. |

I blame Steve Eminger.. If he hadnt sucked so bad after we gave up that damn 1st (John Carlson), we wouldnt have had to go out and trade for Matt (frank)ing Carle. |

I was cursing at him worse than an old man riving 35 in the left lane of the NJ Turnpike.
He had a bad game. Couple of bad passes, a suicide pass in the third that could have seen one of the forwards get killed, but he's played well overall this year.
The funny thing is, people seem to feel he can be replaced by Erik Gustafsson or a cheaper player next year. Or that paying $7mm to Ryan Suter would solve all the issues. |

I have hot and cold with him through his tenure here, but I cant say anything bad about him this year. He has been really pretty steady. He is rarely paired with other top d-men (since Prongs went out) yet adds a calming presence on the back end.
Here is my question..
Carle at 6 or Suter at 7?
Neither would be ideal, but in a "gun to the head" scenario Id take Suter. |

It was a brutal play. But it is an anomaly. And a freak occurrence. So no real reason to be concerned about it. The biggest issue again from last night's game was another slow start to the game. |

That first period was unacceptable. If that was against the Pens or Rags... Carles mistake wouldnt have mattered. |

For the most part the effort last night was what we want to see. They do need to improve their starts and cut down on the brain lapses, though. As for overreactions, well, they've certainly spoken for themselves last night. You'd think the Flyers were 1-6-3 in the last ten, not 6-3-1. |

When they come out and play the way they did in the second, you wonder if Lava could just give him the paint-peeling speech before the game, rather than waiting until the first intermission. |

If the difference is $1mm, I'll take Suter, personally. |

I just hope Angry Lava doesn't lose its jump starting effect. The team has to do a better job of getting up for games from the start of the 1st. Can't keep #dooping from behind like this. |

If the difference is just $1m then sure, I'd take Suter. I don't think that'll be the difference, though, and I have doubts he'll ultimately be available to the Flyers. |
