He takes lazy/stupid penalties and unless he gets enough time to get all his weight on it, he's got a weak shot.
He needs to get stronger and be more disciplined.

True, and I'm not so much criticizing as saying what I think he needs to do going forward.
Contrary to others, I don't think another year in the AHL would've helped Eller that much...he was almost a point per game player there for a full season...he needed to see where he was at in the big league. Now he knows...he's got two seasons in, it's time for him to step up next season.
